I like pinks as well but I catch way nicer in the salt water in front of creek way better fish
@OdometerDave4 ай бұрын
The nice thing about that creek in Hope is it's literally one or two hundred yards from the saltwater of Turnagain Arm, so these pinks have probably been in the fresh water for less than 6-12 hours. But agree: if you can pull them out of the saltwater, they're going to taste better and have better texture. Thanks for the comment! - Dave

I owned an '88. Be glad you didn't buy it. Even that one was made better than the one I owned. All the window openings were cut a tad too big and I didn't notice it until moved across country. It leaked everywhere. No place to get warranty work done. Axle was very under rated and broke on me. IMO, anything over $5k would have been too much for that thing. In '89, mine was $7700 out the door.

Haha! Thanks for that perspective, much appreciated. I'm glad we didn't end up buying the Casita because we just recently bought a trailer that fits us a lot better. To me, more importantly than the "features" would be the overall quality of the build. Glitz and glamour means nothing if the thing starts falling apart shortly after you get on the road.
@OdometerDave5 ай бұрын
Not just to you! I agree: the quality of the materials and the way in which they're put together is the most important thing. Thank you for your comparison. Seriously considering a signifant downsizing from a 30’ tow trailer with slide out to perhaps, one of these two models. Like the floor plan! Both have some pros and cons, but lean towards the 400 for aesthetics, quality, more modern features like Aldi heating. I’m curious if the Max has dual pane acrylic windows like the 400. Seems like the 400 is ready for 3 - 4 seasons but I didn’t get that same sense with the Max.
@OdometerDave8 ай бұрын
Hi James, the specs on the Little Guy site say “7 Euro-style, insulated, dual paned acrylic windows with integrated shades and screens.” Their new Eco-1 trim removes the front window, though. The quiet Alde heat in the 400 would probably be more pleasant during cold snaps versus the frequent cycling of the blower in the LG. Sorry for the delayed reply, and hope the downsizing is successful! - Dave

What are your thoughts about the Front A/C units? I am looking at one of these now , its very dirty! The owner thinks it is a 2005. BTW, we have previously owned, in descending order, 2018 Pleasureway Ascent, 2016 Oliver Trailer, 1989 Airstream 25, 1996 Jayco Pop Up, 199? Starcraft. As you can see we are not Rookies. Our driving reasons for looking at a Casita are DownSizing in both terms of SIZE and COST.

Probably for the best to be honest. I kinda feel that is too narrow a margin still. That 9K ish price would have been perfect. 11K is just a tad steep for a flip. good price, just not enough you make for the work you'd have to do on it. I just got done with a reno on one. mine was a 16 Scamp. I even have videos of me working on it on you tube. They take a lot of time and money seems to be more than expected for sure. Also for anyone who does buy one, remember that some states there is a register fee too. Colorado will bake another 1K or so out of you depending what you bought it for. anyhow, ace review.

I’m trying to decide on my next RV and I want a teardrop with toilet & shower. I read many comments on the owner forums for both trailers. The quality of the LGM is simply not there. This will be my 6th RV and I’ve learned the hard way that paying more for quality is well worth it. It easily translates into more camping time as having to take an RV to a dealer and wait for service, parts etc is so disheartening. Higher quality means less maintenance too. Also considering a number of purpose built off road boutique manufacturers as they are coming out with some nice rigs using highest grade marine parts. But… I keep coming back to the Tab 400 boondock with the upgraded lithium package. It checks almost all of my boxes and has the long lasting quality that will let me pass it down to the next generation.

Bought a T@B400 2023 in the Fall and are anxious to get out in it. We are dramatically downszing from a Rockwood Roo 23' hybrid now that it will be the two of us and maybe a grandkid or two. Aside from the obviously nice fit and finish of the NuCamp is that it is so well enclosed all around. The Roo is a mouse magnet and requires attention over the winter. Fold down sink over the toilet, brilliant idea!! inTech, if you’re listening!! They probably aren’t because it has been like this since the beginning. I get that they don’t want to compromise the size of the wet bath. After all this is one feature that makes them stand out from the rest but they could manage that idea without taking away from the spacious space. This is my only gripe with this camper.

The fold-down sink does seem great, though I wonder why NüCamp removed them with the 2023 models. Could be supply chain. I've not heard of any issues with them. There's plenty of space in both the inTech and Little Guy Max bathrooms for a sink. Thanks for watching and commenting, Monica! - Dave
