I have heard Japanese courts can be super frustrating relative to other courts. They also almost always favour senior companies because they are established and have respect in the community, and even if they lose they can also be awarded damages for almost the same value as the suit despite losing as a punishment for inconveniencing the older company or bringing embarrassment to the community be forcing a larger company to go after them. Hopefully palworld has a REALLY old lawyer to represent them so the younger nintendo lawyers will have a harder time bringing a case against them without losing respect before the judge.

best time i had being an asshat was in Swtor back in the day when you had pve and pvp gear (not as high stat as pve gear but more damage agaoinst other players and less damage taken by other players). You ran PvP gear flagged yourself for pvp in the open world. during these diffrent special events where everyone would join in the same zone. You cloaked/ stealth and waited for a group to go up against the Heroic bosses and then you just ran into their AOE and by that you flagged the whole group and if they didnt have PvP gear you would just tear through the whole 4 man group like paper if you knew your class. The amount of agro in the Rakghoul event you could collect was just glorious.

this reminds me of a time when I was in an mmo guild, the game is not important to the story. I had recently made it to end game and got all my desired armor sets across the board, covering healing, damage, and tank. Once I completed this I got rather bored and started stepping away from the game. The final day of playing I was in a dungeon completing a number of dungeons in a row. We were on the third dungeon and kept getting wiped by the boss. After the 15th time I called it quits, i got yelled at by a guildy who was not having a good time for a good five minutes or so. I logged off and went on with my life, almost forgetting about the game for about 2 months. My quitting was about getting bored and completing all my desired goals, but I eventually returned to find the once strong guild in shambles. It turns out when I left the player who raged at me and thought he was responsible and left the guild, well that caused a chain of players to leave guild reducing it in great number. They were about a quarter of their number when I returned. That was strange because I wasnt even a guild leader or staple of the community.

Roze I've been greatly entertained by your GW2 videos "BUT" the pay to win (P2W) topic has been brought up several times and the demon that lives in my soul which feeds on chaos compels me to respond. P2W has contention because there isn't a consensus on the 'advantage' the purchased item offers. In GW2 there isn't a change in the advantage/outcome and the only difference is time spent to achieve the outcome. Time = money (& vice versa), so if you want to pay, you've brought time, if you spend time you've invested money. In general, everyone has access to time to varying degrees, so the whole damn argument is pointless. Break the cycle

Well some of my favorite old games are from ubisoft. Like splinter cell, splinter cell chaos theory and the prince of persia sands of time trilogy and for honor was fun for some time too. Not sure if some of the people that made those still work there, but i just dont believe an entire studio is bad.

The endgame PVE in current NW is M3 dungeons. Mutated dungeons. All dungeons get mutated and it cycles which ones are mutated every week. There's a fair bit of variation. There's also competition for clear times and high scores but most people don't bother with that. M3 dungeons drop a max of 700 GS items and probably still do after the expansion so they will all become mid-end game content and there will not be much reason to do them anymore. You can do M1's to get the artifacts.

There is still a way this can turn around in Pocket Pair's favor. Nintendo only filed for the patent AFTER Palworld launched. Generally, anything that uses contents of patents PRIOR to the filing of the patent is usually exempt from the patent. I think the courts will declare Palworld an exemption from the patent, but ensure no future products can infringe on the patent (so no Palworld 2 unfortunately).
