Queen Mary had purchased an exponential amount of jewelry. She certainly had a lot of choices. I would think that Princess Catherine should be able to wear some of those pieces now. I know Camilla stopped ladies from wearing tiaras at the coronation but it appears there are several tiaras to choose from. Maybe it would be nice to open up the vault to Princess Anne & Duchess Sophie. Show some of those jewels off.

I've seen several of THESE tiaras on the present day royals. Princess Eugene wore the tiara Margaret had and tiara from Mary Queen Elizabeth wore it..

The Swedish aquamarine tiara, definitely. It's not only beautiful piece in its own right, but also looks marvelous on its wearers' heads, which is not always the case.

She is Queen Consort as she did not marry with equivalent title of her own. To my knowledge she was not elevated either.

@@MaryWindham-l4b She may not be regnant, but she's still Queen Mary. Do people say Queen Consort Silvia and Queen Consort Sonja when talking about the wives of the other Scandinavian kings ? This emphasis on Consort seems to be something now being used by the "we hate Camilla" people.

@@MaryWindham-l4b It's more a "known and doesn't need to be said" type of thing. We know that Elizabeth II was a queen regnant and her grandmother Queen Mary was a queen consort without having to spell it out, Either way, Mary is no longer Crown Princess.

Error at 2:46 - It did not take “decades later” for this tiara to be worn publicly. The Queen Mother wore it at the June 1999 state banquet for the president of Hungary. In March 2006, seven years later, Camilla wore it at the Brazilian state banquet

CORRECTION needed at 1:38 - Her entire collection wasn’t passed on to Queen Elizabeth. In her will Mrs Greville left Elizabeth all her jewels valued over £100. Her lady’s maid received the less expensive pieces.
