This notion of overthinking and failure to live and act in the moment reminds me of Biden. For most of this year he was unable to lift restrictions on Ukraine's long range use of NATO supplied weapons into Russia for fears of antagonizing Putin and Trump supporters before the elections. While he failed to rise in the moment, Russia seized more Ukraine land, destroyed more infrastructure and lives. After Harris lost the elections Biden finally saw that his policy was wrong and is now rushing delivering all remaining Ukraine aide now before Trump takes office. We could have used someone like Marcus Aurelius as president

True transformation requires sacrifice. We must engage in honest reflection to realize the bad habits that don’t serve us in a positive and empowering way. For self improvement we need to be honest with ourselves and face the truth. Look in the mirror and change the bad habits into productive good habits.

Embracing life's challenges and resilience. I'll give you an example. I initiated a lawsuit against my co-op management 5 years ago for their issuance of false financial statements. It cost me $22,000. Last week the decision came out. I lost the case. Stoicism came in handy for dealing with it. Fortunately something new came up this year. The management stopped paying the property taxes, currently we have a debt of $35,000. With rationality, and acting according to justice, seeing that I have the money, I am looking for a new lawyer to start a court case to fight this new problem, keeping my spirits up and not letting emotions ruin me. No other way to handle this, but with purpose and determination.
