Very helpful! My surgeon said they’d be closing my DR as well. He specializes in hernia repair. Was closing your DR an option?
@cicelyjustine5 күн бұрын
No it wasn’t without an additional cost.. 😢 I got it closed to 1 1/2 fingers on my own tho

I started braiding my edges. Now I just got them established in April, but I can’t stand the slippage in the front. Same area you spoke of. The last retie wasn’t as bad as the first. Awesome job at covering those braids too 😊

Just found your channel today. I'm hoping to loc my hair in some months from now because I want my hair to grow a few more inches. I'm going to DiY microlocs because I want to save money, have no grid, and do my own reties and maintenance.

So I know I am late but rosemary and clove will grow your hair back with then 6 weeks make sure you Dilute it by using a Carrier oil castor is good but it’s very thick and you have locs you really don’t want it stuck in your locs even though you put it in a small spot however rosemary is very thin and greasy so if you mix it with castor oil then you’ll be good. One more thing if you do your research on rosemary oil it’s one of the oil proven to help with growths in many cases people report growth in their hair. You have to be consistent and the oil have to be 100 percent all natural

Hi thank you for this informative video! Did your surgeon mention that the hernia may come back if you were to get pregnant again? I’m just curious because I hear this can happen ?
@cicelyjustine9 ай бұрын
Hi love! You’re welcome! Yes you do risk it coming back if you get pregnant again. However, everyone’s body is different so that may or may not be the case for women. I went on with the surgery as I do not want anymore children anytime soon or ever lol

Your braid out is beautiful! Stop putting tension on your edges, it’s not good. I lost my edge because of tension.
@sharronjones10179 ай бұрын
I only use rose water on my scalp. Looks like you’re putting too much tension on the edges. Whenever you put water on your hair as it dries it tightens up. I lost my edges like that.
@cicelyjustine9 ай бұрын
Ok thank you for this feedback. So should I stop washing and retightening on the same day?
@sharronjones10179 ай бұрын
@@cicelyjustine I wash a day or two before retightening, the diluted rosewater (3:1) I used to moisturize & keep my scalp clear. Plus a couple of drops of peppermint oil in my spray bottle soothes my scalp from itching & pulling. I love your locs, they are so beautiful❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥. I’m only 20 months in & cannot wait til I get to 1 ponytail stage!🤣😂 But you have to ease up on the pulling on your edges, it definitely helped me. And wear it as loose as possible to sleep with your bonnet at few days a week, you will see a big difference. We tend to see what we perceive as flaws, but others only see the beauty of the whole. Baby girl you are stunning❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥and the locs are magnificent. No worries, it only ages you!😃🥰😘 much love & blessings to you & yours❣️❣️❣️ funny thing when my edges started picking up again the baby loc grew so fast. So just breathe & enjoy the journey. Listen & believe when people compliment you, you are beautiful from the inside & it flows out of you. You are a gift to those you touch, my luv!
@sharronjones10179 ай бұрын
@@cicelyjustine I moisturize with misting my hair with distilled water & also steam it. The steam works wonderfully. I just got a portable garment steamer from Walmart!

If you use indigo by itself on gray hair, it will stain blue. Your hair advisor doesn't know what she's talking about. You have to use henna first on gray hair to stain it red; then you use indigo to turn it black or dark brown. I have been doing it for years on my gray SLs and that's how I know she doesn't know what she's talking about. I learned the method for proper application from other women with SLs. Henna and indigo are NOT one in the same.
