I heard from a sister lock consultant “don’t focus on your hair because it’s all dead. Focus on your scalp because that’s alive” so you are right I think you should focus on your follicles and as far as the spot you feel like is balding I would visit a doctor for that. Because the spot might already be scabbed over or anything. To be sure just visit the dermatologist and get a real answer
@cicelyjustine Жыл бұрын
Hey sis!! I recently heard that too, so that’s what I think I’m going to start doing. And that’s a good idea to see a dermatologist for the balding. Thanks so much for the advice and for supporting my channel!! Happy new year!! 💕🎉

I only use rose water on my scalp. Looks like you’re putting too much tension on the edges. Whenever you put water on your hair as it dries it tightens up. I lost my edges like that.

Ok thank you for this feedback. So should I stop washing and retightening on the same day?
@sharronjones10179 ай бұрын
@@cicelyjustine I wash a day or two before retightening, the diluted rosewater (3:1) I used to moisturize & keep my scalp clear. Plus a couple of drops of peppermint oil in my spray bottle soothes my scalp from itching & pulling. I love your locs, they are so beautiful❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥. I’m only 20 months in & cannot wait til I get to 1 ponytail stage!🤣😂 But you have to ease up on the pulling on your edges, it definitely helped me. And wear it as loose as possible to sleep with your bonnet at few days a week, you will see a big difference. We tend to see what we perceive as flaws, but others only see the beauty of the whole. Baby girl you are stunning❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥and the locs are magnificent. No worries, it only ages you!😃🥰😘 much love & blessings to you & yours❣️❣️❣️ funny thing when my edges started picking up again the baby loc grew so fast. So just breathe & enjoy the journey. Listen & believe when people compliment you, you are beautiful from the inside & it flows out of you. You are a gift to those you touch, my luv!

That’s what I’m gonna do. Ima start in the back since my Loctician begged me not to mess with the front until it locks
@Sandibambino Жыл бұрын
Hi Cicely, I am coming up to my 10 year sisterlock anniversary in March this year. To prevent breakage and hair tension at the front, don't tie your hair back, avoid plaiting your locks together. The less hair tension the better. Make sure your loctician isn't pulling your hair too tight, especially around your hair line. If your eyes feel pulled back after retightening, then it is too tight. Tell them if it feels too tight, so that they know, otherwise they will continue to pull too tight, and that will cause your hair to be pulled out, especially when you toss and turn in your sleep. For your scalp and to help smooth and condition your locks, I recommend spraying them daily with a home made water solution of a small amount of coconut oil, natural freshly squeezed lemon juice and water. This also makes your hair grow faster. The water should not be oily, otherwise it will make your hair feel sticky. I make up a spray bottle using a teaspoon of coconut oil and the juice of half a lime or lemon and then top it up with water. I also recommend sleeping on a satin pillow case, or if you sleep alone, then wear and tuck your locks into a hair bonnet. The bonnet will help keep your scalp naturally moisturised. I recommend that you wash your locks at your own discretion, I know some people follow the sisterlocks advice and wash their hair every 2 or 3 days, others only wash theirs once a week, or a fornight or just before they go for relocking. You do you, because you know when your hair isn't or doesn't feel clean. The daily water spraying also helps to keep it clean. I hope this advice helps a little.

So I know I am late but rosemary and clove will grow your hair back with then 6 weeks make sure you Dilute it by using a Carrier oil castor is good but it’s very thick and you have locs you really don’t want it stuck in your locs even though you put it in a small spot however rosemary is very thin and greasy so if you mix it with castor oil then you’ll be good. One more thing if you do your research on rosemary oil it’s one of the oil proven to help with growths in many cases people report growth in their hair. You have to be consistent and the oil have to be 100 percent all natural

I would say Jamaican black castor oil on the spot you feel is balding. If you can't use oil on the spot, I don't know sis 🤣 I used JBCO on a spot that didn't have any hair consistently for 2 weeks straight and my hair grew back
