Mine is a 14’ Waco with a 22hp Predator long shaft Swamp Runner. I have to see how fast mine is now. It’ll make your eyes water without glasses.

Can your Kits be used in salt water
@MudMotorKit2 жыл бұрын
Yes, they thrive in it. We have multiple shaft options. Our standard shaft will last for multiple years if properly maintained. If you want an upgraded shaft, we have our Saltwater Series shaft which has a stainless steel inner shaft with all the internal bushings being our Bayou Bushing. The upgraded shaft is more forgiving if you tend to neglect your kit when it comes to maintenance.

Ok but what shaft, size prop, and prop pitch?
@MudMotorKit3 жыл бұрын
The only Swamp Runner kit that fits a 22hp Predator is our Large Kit. The Large kit comes standard with a 100" shaft. To answer your question, it is a 100" shaft with our 8.5" Hurricane Prop.

I’m am fixn to buy one of these kits for a 1542 alweld,,what is your recommendations on prop size,,would like to go with the stainless prop and I figure the 100 inch shaft would b correct length,,I have my motor on a 58 inch go devil crawfish model now,,it is a 22hp predator,,I get 18 mph out of it, but that short shaft I’m pushing mor up that foward ,,any help would b appreciated
@MudMotorKit3 жыл бұрын
Hey Tom. Our Large Swamp Runner Kit would be the kit for the 22hp Predator. The Large Kit comes standard with a 100" shaft and one 9" prop and one 9.5" prop. At the moment, our biggest stainless prop is a 8.5".

Is it pretty easy to turn that thing around and put prop in the boat for fishing up in the trees for bream,,it would b hard to troll around with a 100 inch shaft sticking off the back of a 15 foot boat
@MudMotorKit3 жыл бұрын
For most people, yes, they are able to spin the tail around to get it inside the boat while out on the water
@clayton2033 жыл бұрын
Big question ,,say I am fishing around trees for bream,,say up in the cypress,,it looks like it would b a no brainer to turn the motor around where the prop is in the boat,,is that easily done from inside the boat?

Do you have a 20hp? My boat is only rated for 20hp
@MudMotorKit3 жыл бұрын
There are many different engine types out there. If you need to stay under 20hp, the Briggs 18hp engine is a very well-built motor. We have them on our website if you are still interested.

Is there no sound. Sick vid
@MudMotorKit3 жыл бұрын
Correct. This is a header video that is on our website and didn't want to annoy visitors with sound. This video is only visible to those who view the website from a desktop, so those who visit with a mobile device do not see it. So we thought it would be a good idea to add it to the KZbin channel.

I have had the small size kit for four years on a 12 foot john and couldn't be happier. Its overbuilt and reliable, wouldn't change a thing. Also predator motors are cheap and easily modified for more power. If you are thinking about it, pull the trigger. Its a blast.

How deep does the water need to be for these. Shallow rivers are ok right. I live on a sand river and during drought season spots can get 10 to 12 inches deep in some stretches of the river kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKbalZ-QgaiSntE wondering if this will work

Yeah I tried putting a Motorcycle clutch lever on a Go-Devil. Again Odd Size Tube wouldn't work. Done with Go-Devil Now! DUN, Fini, Finito, Alto, The End! Other Go Devil Demons also contributed to that decision.

That’s impressive. This will be my next motor. I have 13hp stage 1 ready to go for a 1432 flat Jon. Should I order the 85in or 100in shaft?
