I just did the brass bushing on my NB2 and love how it shifts now, but I also COULD NOT get that stupid wavywasher over the bottom flared out part of the shifter! And it was fine on the three NAs I did in the past. I was hammer & chiseling that sumbuck, then had to unmangle it once it finally went over it. Def. a design flaw.

This video is probably the best one ive seen on tackling the rescue of lifters. Its too cold out so ive gotta wait a few months, but I am 100% coming back to this vid to get the job done. Saved me from potentially wasting $100+ on some "reputable" lifters. Thank you!

About to do the same on my 1990 that I just bought for $500. Too much hustle either way tbh. Worst case scenario would be a clogged strainer that you have to clean several times?? Time will tell

Yeah and or clogged fuel lines, bad gas mileage, poor performance… it all depends on what you have time for 🤷‍♀️ in my case this was easier.

No need to have the heater knob/slider set to high. In your case, you have the supply line removed from the heater control valve, which is what the knob opens/closes.

@@MessyBunGarage Treasure Coast doesn't have a tank, neither does Redline. I'm in Orlando so I could have driven over to pick it up. Found a good used one on eBay for $400, it'll be here sometime between Friday & Tuesday. That will give me plenty of time to get the old one out. I also needed the fuel pump assembly because mine is FUBAR and this came with one. Yes, I've gotten plenty of stuff from Treasure coast, always good to deal with.

@user-yf6ty5ot8y
@user-yf6ty5ot8y 8 ай бұрын
@@joshhayler9342 yes! It was totally clogged. I can't say I use the heater often in AZ, but after back flushing and burping the system really well, it was better. I took it up north on several steep grades and the dash needle never moved. I monitor my temps with the Android Torque Pro app and it does warm up on the steep climbs but was never alarming or out of the ordinary. Around town, it stays at 194 to 195. 👍

How did the oreilleys one compare to the original booster you removed? I also used an oreilleys since it was what was available in the time frame I had but feel like it’s stiffer than what I’m used to. Do you feel the same?

It’s hard for me to compare them. Because I didn’t ever drive it with a good brake booster. I’d say it was a bit stiff. But actually felt like it was there, which is what I wanted lol
