Deze recital door van Leeuwen en mevr Hanniga is toch maar een 'superclean dream' .

My mother had this album many years ago when I was young. I pretended to be the conductor and I always got goosebumps. That’s one of my all-time favorites.

That's how a bugle works. All Brass instruments also work that way.

During the war, the Last Post and the Rouse were played on bugles, which had no valves
@Coltgov19114520 күн бұрын
Yes, I understand thats how they work but it takes a ton of talent to make them sound this flawless just using using the mouth
@AndrewKnight-h8o20 күн бұрын
@@conanobrennan53 Although you can play a large variety of notes on the trumpet, for example, you will still need to use valves for some of them. Trombone's the same way - a slide is required to play most notes. The only reason he was able to play this with no other fingerings is because the music was written with specific notes that a trumpet can play without changing their fingering.
@conanobrennan5320 күн бұрын
@@AndrewKnight-h8o lmao, since bugles were only invented after trumpets? cmon... more like taps, last post, reveille et. al were written based on what the bugle could do.

This is glorious. The musician creates such beautifully silken notes without any of the harshness that can be sometimes heard in TAPS. Just stunning. Bravo.

I would have to say that Lighthouse was the first band i ever saw live at Brockville Riverfest and my dad had to wait while Skip did a drum solo. What a great concert

That beautiful first drum interlude around 8:20 - the guy is just floating serenely on a cloud while playing, you can just feel his vibe.

Vu à l’Atelier Lyrique de l’Opéra de Montréal aujourd'hui même dans des extraits du Barbier de Séville. Une voix chaude et expressive et un don de comédien qui donne vie à ces scènes d’un autre âge.
