To me it seems nuts to write from left to right with the right hand. Seems much more efficient to me with the left. Now mind you i don't do the weird hook thing like Barack Osama, i hold my pen normally

me being left handed all my life & me growing up in the 80's and having 2 go to school that doesn't have any left handed scissors really sucked for me because i couldnt cut right using right handed scissors and i had sum mean ass trolls 4 elementary school teacher's never wanted 2 bring all my artwork home with me we used 2 make a huge envelope folder that we would put a whole school year of artand crafts projects cuz i thought my artwork i did in class sucked because we always used to make holiday deco to take home 2 moms

When I was in first grade my teacher made me write right handed and practice as homework. When my mother saw me writing right handed she got mad. The next day she had me with her sa we went to office she told the school that if I'm going to be Lefthanded they had to let me and had to accommodate me. When I enlisted in the Marine Corps I was the only Lefty out of 76 guys. I wasn't treated differently except on the rifle range I was given a lefthanded shooting jacket and glove for my right hand. I shot 212pts sharpshooter.

I tried writing with my left hand years ago in elementary school and had the same problem. So I gave up and just used my right hand. Recently I found a trick that lets me use my left hand without smudging the words and I love it. I love writing with my left hand. I wish I had not given up so many years ago.

This was brilliant. I made all of the mistakes in the video, but I learned how to write the correct way under my own steam. But I was probably about 18 when I eventually did it, no training, etc.. In my early years, I spent many hours in Friday detention ("detto") at my Grammar School in north-east England in the 1970s LOL! Brings it all back! I now use a fountain pen for all my (non-computer) writing. I remember when I was about 10 my Great-Aunt was mortified that I was a "sinister" - she was, too, but she got it hammered out of her as a child in a rural school in the Highlands of Scotland - "We'll have no Catholics here..." she used to say.

I'm almost 50 and I just used left-handed scissors for the first time. I found them harder to use. This is probably because I have used right-handed scissors all my life and need to learn to use them differently. I use scissors with my left hand.

This!!! 😭😭😭 I'm the ONLY leftie in my family so when I use the kitchen scissors I use my right hand and that cut looks SO bad! Like, why did my hand glide down more than it needed to! And left handed stuff is MORE expensive, like why? 😭😭😭

I am a lefty but learned to use scissors with my right hand since we never had any lefty scissors in the house which was populated by my right-handed parents and brother. Guess that makes me odd.

The best option is to become ambidextrous. Use the opposite hand for three (3) weeks (preferably more), then it becomes habit, but that doesn't work for everyone. IMAGINE A TENNIS PLAYER WHO IS AMBIDEXTROUS or MIX-HANDED....that would be a great advantage (no pun intended). :))

As I child I started out writing with my left hand and then my mom trained me to write with my right hand and I've been writing with my right hand ever since.

Last week at work at the age of 32 i really payed attentions to someone write left handed and i was amazed at how he was even able to see and how frustrating it is to push instead of pull words.

I've never written the wrong way as a kid like the hook or reversed writing. I just accepted graphite on my hand and just rubbed an eraser on it at the end of the day. 😂 Then as i got older my fingers got long enough that the ink dries before my palm got to it
