Loved the bow hunt in Oregon. Nice elk bull Mickey Black took down with his bow on 5th day! Great experience for father and son to share.

"My watch give me an alert that let me know my heart rate was 134"... That is exactly what happened to me two weeks ago in Eastern Oregon when we called in a nice 5x5 to 25 yds! I did not get a shot unfortunately. Got to love the cardio boost elk hunting provides.....in so many ways!

So hard to sit and wait for elk to come in and not stalk and chase them. Great film great hunt 👍

It’s nice to hear someone who comes from another part of the country who shares common hunting values. Hunting in the west and hunting on the ground is definitely different than hunting from a tree stand that’s common across so much of America. Elk hunting is also very special and what is still common and very special is having your family members with you on the hunt.

Wish you would explain the transitions of elk between summer range, to peak rut phase, to post rut phase. When we see rubs, we know that was most likely their summer range. Where are the bulls in september, then october?

I have an elk tag for that area this year. That chunk is grazed down to nothing from cattle and there are 2 no trespassing signs along the road bordering that property. Not sure what's going on.

I live about five miles from Backbone rock. Its in Tenn . But I live in Virginia, Damascus is just across the VA/TN line . We go there often . From where the young man is standing we go thru the "tunnel" and go right to creek and picnic tables. On the other side of the road is a small parking lot and the trail that goes across the rock and back down. Great little place to have a cook out. The town of Damascus has the A.T. running thru it Along with the Virginia creeper trail.

Have yall had any problems ranging dark black targets? A lot of rangefinders won’t get a range on a black target
