I am an undergraduate student from China, and I really want to go to Belgrade University to study a master's degree in mechanical engineering. However, I lack the information channel to know about Belgrade University, so I would like to know the tuition fee and living standard of postgraduate students here

This is thanks to the Non-aligned movement when many African nations were friends with Yugoslavia, and we had many students from Africa. I am very glad that Belgrade is the only city in the region which has this kind of Museum.

Winters are mild now, compared to how they were before... True, there is no African market. There is Asian... We are a candidate to join the EU, but we will probably never join... Serbian is the only official language in Serbia.... Old women are frustrated, mean, grumpy. Stick to the younger generation... For us it is not cheap... Racism is not common here...

Here is the history. In 1595, the Ottoman Turks burned the relics of Saint Sava, Serbia's most prominent Saint, allegedly at the place where the Temple now stands. Three hundred years later, in 1895, a Society was established to manage funds and construction. The actual contruction started in 1935 and ended in 1941. Then came WW 2 - Nazi occupation and after that Yugoslavia became a Socialist country ruled by Tito, and building this Temple was not a priority of the Communist Party. In the late 1980s, when their ideology died down a bit, it was allowed for construction to continue. The 4,000 tonnes-heavy central dome was lifted in 1989. The Temple has 49 bells of different sizes. Every hour, on the hour, they are computer-moved, so the melody of the Hymn to Saint Sava is performed by the bells, it's beautiful. Today, it is fully finished inside and outside (interior and exterior). There is also a lower level or the crypt. It is even better than the ground level. It is used for Ortthodox music concerts and weddings. Also in the crypt, one of the Patriarchs of the Serbian Orthodox Church is buried, whom we had lost to Covid. Future Patriarchs will be buried here. Works are now going on in the area outside - the paved area and the nearby park and walking paths. It is a breathtaking place, one of the most beautiful Orthodox churches in the world, and one of the largest. It is also one of the main sites of Belgrade, and, visually, often reminds people of the Agia Sophia in Istanbul.

Hello from Serbia. It is not a hostel. It is an official, government-owned student dormitory, built by the now defunct country of Yugoslavia in the 1960s, with several renovations afterwards. Students stay here - mostly those not living in Belgrade, but studying here. They pay a very symbolic price - almost nothing... but it is not a hostel. You can't just come off the street here and sleep like it's a hostel. The place is called "Student City" because it is huge - four big buildings that can accommodate over 4,400 students. Other services provided include various sports halls, medical services, laundry services, TV and internet, post office, a giant cafeteria, their own internal TV station, student clubs for radio, TV, photography, folklore, literary club, etc.
