Brian is also a bad father, if you couldn't tell from that one episode where he tries to turn his son's sitcom into an edgelord fanfic. But in that same episode, the Griffins don't seem concerned that Meg knows how to commit suicide which is so disturbing I have to question the psyche of the writers. Or how bout in Fresh Heir where Peter tries to marry Chris. Mind you, his own son. Like... what??

I'm pretty much one of those people who actually liked that episode, next to Rude Removal, the college episode and the ice cream episode. Nearly any episode involving Dexter's big ego getting the better of him is always amusing to me. 😳 If it's the fact that Dexter's pretty much the bad guy in this episode especially when he rips the horns off that reindeer, I can understand the hate, what he did was extremely f**ked up from start to finish. 😤 But for some reason, this episode always got me laughing at how stubborn Dexter is and how he is willing to risk anything to prove his theory! The rap in the beginning and the ending alone, Dexter trying to explain what Christmas is about only for Dee Dee to call him a blockhead and Santa saying it's about the presents was what got me laughing as it pretty much reminded me of the Rugrats Charlie Brown Christmas parody, with Angelica calling Tommy a blockhead saying it's about the presents to explain what Christmas is all about to Chuckie, which I assume was their inspiration, but I digress.😁 We all know Santa is fake and Dexter does as well, but the way he points out about the parents being Santa let alone the car being the sledge is so bizarre that it felt more unrealistic than Santa himself, which I guess is the joke of that episode, when it came to Dexter harassing both Santa and his reindeer, assuming it was his folks. For an intelligent kid, he's hella thick when it comes to his surroundings. May I remind you of the burrito episode? 🤣🤣🤣

If you watched Miraculous Ladybug and stomached anything past the first two seasons, you'd know Gabriel Agreste, father of the series deuteragonist Adrien, would certain take the top spot of this list more than ever since he more or less treats his son like a slave when he isn't terrorizing all of Paris with domestic terroism as the supervillain Hawk Moth by turning his fellow Parisians into his freaks of the week. Why, you ask? Because he wants to get the absolute power of Ladybug and Cat Noir's magic trinkets so he can rewrite the universe and bring his wife back from the brink of death, of course. Let me repeat that, Adrien's dad would rather tear the universe down so he can see his wife again than move on and be a better man, I know that'd be harsh with or without context but he caused so much chaos and paranoia as Hawk Moth that its hard to defend Gabriel if you're not his assistant Natalie or his nephew Felix. All in all, Gabriel treats his son like property and would rather destroy the fabric of existence than admit he's wrong or that he should move on from his wife and love again.!

Butterscotch and Beatrice Horseman could potentially top any worst animated parents list. They may not be over-the-top and stupid like many others, but they're the worst because they're a realistic portrayal of terrible parents. Ironic since they're horses. Butterscotch and Beatrice were both dissatisfied with how their lives turned out and took it out on each other and their son, BoJack. Butterscotch was constantly angry at BoJack and even gave him alcohol at a young age. And Beatrice constantly told BoJack that he "ruined [her]" and "[he'd] better grow up to be something great, to make up for all the damage [he] caused [her]". You just don't f***ing say that to your child!

I'm glad you mentioned the fact Molly moved a lot growing up and how a some of her personalty might be manifestations of this experience. Since I moved a lot growing up too, I can't help but see it that way. The comet episode was probably the most obvious example, but I'd argue her "cope" of being positive as well as her attaching her identity to Brighton are others.

One of my favorite examples would definitely be Martha and Jonathan Kent. While they're not only found in animation, Superman's adoptive parents can easily be considered the reason why he's such a good person. A well-loved example would be the animated series episode "Comfort and Joy," when Superman brings J'onn J'onzz, aka Martian Manhunter, to spend Christmas with his family, where he's welcomed with open arms and a very telling "We're no strangers to aliens in this house!"

I loved Undie Pressure. It was hilarious but i did have a problem with who won the bet. Lincoln had to read his comic with his clothes on or else he loses the bet. But he loses the bet by just stripping down to his undies and pulling his comic out whish is already on the page with the new undies he wants, as he thought he won the bet. He never actually reads or even looks at the page in the comic, in just his undies and it bugs me that he was disqualified for just being in his undies. I know its a small technicality but it really bugs me
