He must be one if not greatest tacking fly half ever. He came across as a gentleman modest and above all has never been replaced by England!

When I was 6 years old I was playing rugby for the U8s of the club CO Bèrre. We went to play a tournament at the Stade Mayol. We went on to win the shield and got to take a picture with the entire team of RCT. And I got the opportunity to take a picture with my childhood idol Jonny Wilkinson. So today I still have a picture of me and this legend exposed in my room and I will never let it go

Maybe the only english player that France dreamed to have in his team. surely the best player of all the times.

It's so easy to forget how good at tackling he was. You never felt nervous when someone was running at Johnny

The best fly-half ever. If he did not have unpunished dirty high tackles he would ideal icon. His hand play is underestimated because of beautiful foot play. The man had no weak side except the one I mentioned. The best ever.

Well done. I haven't had or seen a conversation like this since 19 mumble mumble when I had a night out with the cousins of my Brit mate in Belfast. My Brit mate was - is of Huguenot extraction whose father was a bit of a sporting hero in the occupied north east. I'm Australian of Irish Catholic extraction. What a great night, talking to the dreaded Prods, I'd never heard their side. Good video

I got hooked by rugby watching Betsen play, remain addicted with 8 and 9, but Wilkinson is a player apart : simultaneously hard-hitting, key at the center of the game, an amazing fly-half, humble and decisive. More than a great player 🙏🏼
