Great vlog as always glad you are on the mend. I love your sweatshirt and it’s far nicer pattern than the Drew by TB that’s such an 80s pattern style that needs to stay in the 80s I would say. The joy on your face when you talked about how much you enjoyed making the Blanca was infectious. I smiled along with you as you talked about it. The pink and white striped denim is going to be so amazing! Your daughter's dress look SO cozy and I hope it goes over well with her. I think we've all had to dig clothes out of the hamper for that reason, and cross our fingers that they don't smell too bad. It's just not worth the argument... Your insights were so interesting. I tried to have a dedicated album in my phone for my 2024 makes but it turns out I'm terrible at taking pictures of my makes, so I think I'm going to try just writing them down like you did.

I admire your use of your sewing space and how you use it. I always sewed in the dining room and cut out on the floor. I have a board. Those days are long gone and I couldn’t crawl around on the floor now. It was never easy when I was young, Recently I started laying my board on the kitchen table and have found that is working well, as I get the width. I was considering buying another table that has adjustable legs but they are very narrow. I set up my sewing room about 8 years ago in sons downstairs bedroom( after he’d left home obviously )and have to confess it’s a dreadful mess😩However it’s a job I haven’t got time to tackle yet so Ive made umpteen sewing projects in that mess! Ive just got too much in there. I really like your sweatshirts. How did you exactly match that ribbing? I’ve just bought the Paige hoodie pattern so that should really be my next garment. I’ve used the Billie a lot but mainly as a dress. Your retreat sounds fabulous. I’m lucky enough to go to Derbyshire every April with my love sewing mag pals. There were 10 of us in a photo shoot 6 years ago for the magazine and we’ve done this ever since. In between I had a stroke but I can still sew! It was a main goal for recovery and to do my ballet classes. Well done for sewing with a young family and working. I tended to stop sewing in my busiest years as a teacher. 😊

@@ruthlanwarne8978 Hi Ruth, don't worry about your sewing room, looking at it as a whole can feel daunting and demotivating. At some point, you might want to consider a different sewing table option. In my last home, I built something like what is shown in this video (only deeper) for my sewing machine. You can also have additional shelves underneath, basically it would be like a bookcase with a folding table in the middle.
