Ok, I have a theory. It involves book parallels(gasp), NOVEL parallels(GASP), but hear me out. The Silver Eyes trilogy introduced a lot of concepts that later leaked over into the games. Not 1-1, but as parallels. Henry Emily, William Afton, Charlotte Emily, Remnant, all here. Covering things in a way you couldn't in the games, not at the time. So if those characters all eventually ended up in the games who's missing? Why, Charlie's friend circle, 6 people. Carlton, Jessica, Marla, Jason, Lamar, and John. What do they do in the first book? Break into a Freddy's at night, encounter a strange guard working the nightshift under a fake name, get split up inside, and get violently attacked, requiring robot girl Charlie to knock Willy out and Save Them. Oh and Golden Freddy is teleporting around and showing up from time to time to try to warn them. I think Charlie's friend circle existed in the game universe just like the other major Novel characters, and similar events to the books played out. A different place, a different time(The FNAF 2 location rather then the 1-2 hybrid location in the novels, open rather than closed), but similar. Except Charlie wasn't a robot kid in this universe, Henry never did that. She couldn't get to them in time to save them....I think the DCI victims are teenagers/young adults who broke in at night and were opportunistically murdered by William who then hid the bodies. I think more specifically it's the game universe versions of Carlton, Jessica, Marla, Jason, Lamar, and John. Afton in the novels was using a fake name as being a suspect in a crime had ruined him. He used this fake name(Dave Miller) to become a night guard at Freddy's. Afton in FNAF 2 is heavily implied to have lied about his identity and is indeed working the night shift week one when he does the DCI. Golden Freddy showing up and trying to warn people happens in the novel, he shows up eratically in SAVE THEM. The bodies are drawn notably taller and less head dominated then most, suggesting they are older. It fits the time period too, Silver Eyes started being written around the time FNAF 3 was ending development. Also also, in the book after Carlton is kidnapped by Afton to be tortured his dad(a cop) straight up refuses to go looking for him or report him missing as he has a track record of running off. 17-19 year olds vanishing while sneaking off is going to take longer to trace to Freddy's then a bunch of kids there. So yeah, I think DCI happened similarly to events in the first novel and resulted in the deaths of the game versions of Charlie's friends. Funnily enough this means the name is bunk on both counts. These weren't kids, they were teens/young adults, and they were at least for a short while missing as Afton absolutely had time to hide the bodies once Withered Freddy was disabled and the bodies weren't found for over a week. Maybe we should have stuck to the old Save Them Massacre name
