Something I learnt and everyone is different and has there own way they like to do things but if you poke the line into the holes in the reel and give it a small turn it will spin around the spool and it will help with tying the line on just save a few seconds on having to thread under and back around

Wish hummingbird would let you take it for a test drive we have a good size lake one side is pretty good but the other not even close put it on fallow the contour at 30’ it ran from 50’ down to 5’ . $200 is a lot of money rather have a new fishing pole 😮

The amount of drag you put on your baitcaster has absolutely zero to do with the tension the line goes on at, and winding your reel like against heavy drag especially for a full reel of line is terrible for your drag system. The tension needs to come from the spool end of the line, not the reel.

When making a video using your fish finder, you might want to consider the location of the sun. Have the sun in front of you, not behind you washing out the screen and reflections showing everything EXCEPT what is on the screen.

Nonsense. Leatherman Wave has nothing to do with fishing. For fishing, you need a good knife and a fish scaler. The Wave has no scaler. On the other hand, the Wave has several other tools that you'll never need for fishing, such as a file, screwdrivers, a saw (no, you can't use it well for scaling), etc.

Having owned one I can honestly say it sucks for spinning reels. Tried both ways with no luck. Ended up using a nail and a block of wood.

The mother lode was the only MTB I was disappointed in. Juggernaut I think was the best (value at least). The reserve crate was pretty badass.

Great video, fantastic multi tool, owned one over 20 years as an angler. However, there’s far better multi tools cheaper online. Love the quality of leatherman, but they failed to innovate. Never used a file, screw driver or knife when fishing. Same story as Swiss Army, another brand failing from poor innovation. Hope you understand my comments and good luck with your fishing buddy 🎣👊🏼

Dude: Super nice scale, but is it accurate? And does it give repeatable measurements of the same fish? Do two (or three, or four) of these scales side-by-side give the same measurement for the same fish? Does its readings agree with other fish scales on the market? How much difference in weight determines the winner of a fishing contest? The scale better be at least that accurate. Right?

@@dinkhunter1593 Dink, Not Really. A consistent reading can be consistently bad or consistently good. A jumpy reading is always bad. As an analogy think about a ruler that has the bottom half-inch cut off of it. It will give very consistent readings, but they will ALL be wrong. (I actually worked on a plastic sheeting production line a long time ago where this was actually the case with a tape measure used to set up the cutting machine. The end of the tape measure with the little chrome tab broke off, so the machine operator drilled another hole in the end of the tape, discarded the broken off piece, and re-riveted the chrome tab to the metal tape. Nobody was ever able to figure out how many sheets of plastic were shipped that were 1/2" or so short of their advertised length. Typically, they were 8, 10 & 12 feet long ( & 4 feet wide) and used in building construction. But one big customer did discover the problem and demanded a replacement of 100+ sheets. That's when the big wigs got involved and the altered tape measure was discovered. I don't think anybody 'fessed up to the alteration, but the tape was ceremoniously crushed with a sledge hammer by the line supervisor who took most of the heat for the mishap. Lesson learned: measuring equipment should always be mistrusted, and always made to prove itself on a regular basis by comparison to multiple known good standards and common sense.

This is their top scale. Me and my buddy have this one and the one just below it as well as another expensive scale of his (can’t remember the brand) all of them read the same everytime. The one below the touch screen one ended up being off a few times by a few ounces but the two high end ones were right on with each other everytime. Hope this helps

They are ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!!!!! I have traveled to almost all the states covered on the lake master south chip and it helps me navigate and identify depths as well as structures.

One thing that confuses me is this… for spinning/spincast reels should you set up the line spool with line coming off the TOP or BOTTOM of the line spool?

No you don't want the line to come off the bottom of the spool for a baitcaster. That is how you get line twists. You want it to come off the top to eliminate that.
