@ImperfectPaintings alright. I don't have any problem with plagiarism, I think art and science belongs to humanity as a whole. But I respect your position. Under capitalism, the material conditions impose a individualistic attitude and this kind of social contract.

I live in Oklahoma USA. So ashamed and angry and fearful in 2024. Afraid for 2025 and beyond. I have struggled to find a way to vent my pain and disappointment, and frankly, seething anger. Thank you again for helping me break through the fog!
@ImperfectPaintings26 күн бұрын
It makes me sad to hear you feel this way, Patti. Whenever I'm not feeling well, I often turn to painting. It brings me in the here and now, focussed om my painting, noticing I can do lots of things, here and now, what I can improve. Putting down my painting in sight keeps me longer in this process, thinking over what it needs or has too much. Changing this gets in all more in balance. Hope this helps. Albert

You have inspired me. I had a revelation watching what you were doing a while back. I’m off to begin. I’ve been a little at loose ends changing careers. This was my first, solid, affixed inspiration. It’s in there and working wonders. Thank you so much. If it goes as well as I’d like, I’ll update.

Hi, thank you very much for the video! I would like to ask about the ratio between the pouring medium and the color. Can you disclose please?
@ImperfectPaintingsАй бұрын
Thanks, Vera. The ratio isn't that important. I guess 1 (paint) to 5-10 medium. Just take a cup, make a mix, and start playing. Perhaps you like it thicker of thinner. Make a mess and see if you like it. Enjoy, Albert

Thank you. Great paintings. I am learning to paint. Using oil pastels. I seem always to fight muddy colors so Im learning about color theory. I see you have used two sets of analagous colors with warm up front and cool in back to recede. So adding analagous colors to each other would help with the whole muddy colors issue? Only at the last do you add complimentary colors up front for pop. I love your series of videos.
@ImperfectPaintingsАй бұрын
Thanks, Catherine. Personally, I do experiments with new techniques or theories. Doing gets me in a playful, careless state, which helps me to see what works for me. And no harm is done when i mess up. Just over to the next experiment. Hope this helps. Albert

I love this kind of art. In the town I currently live we had an artist named Herbert Zangs. He made minimal white art called "Verweißelungen". He was a contemporary of Joseph Beuys, who also was born in Krefeld. After seeing your video for the first time a week ago, I felt inspired to create 2 pieces of my own interpretation with cartbord. Greetings from Germany.

Thanks, renamitter. I looked op Herbert Zangs, and i liked what he made.There were a lot of artists in that time period. It is very interesting to try for yourself. I hope it was fun to do. Albert

The horse painting reminds me the herd paintings of Kader Boly. Do you know him ? Perhaps you could make a video how to paint in his style. Greeting from Germany.

Thanks, renamitter. I tried a few times to draw/paint horses like Kader Boly (and similarly working artists), but at no success. So, there will be no video. Sorry. Albert

Yes please. I want to start looking at art in a totally unique way - in the way that all the other complete fkn morons look at it - by thinking of it in the same way when you scratch your arse, or thinking that copying it is THE way to go. While you're at it - why not teach people that art is also a complete joke - a simple, 5-minute pastime for the unwashed and unthinking - to which you're obviously directing your attention?
