@@trotion So I’m not the most delicate person that 575 would have been scratch and battered and bruised by now. Also I got the fusion when I was still a beginner. It is stable and strong and surfs the waves better than the other Stealths. Sure it’s slower but then you just paddle harder 😂.

Unfortunately we don’t have any experience fishing in Mauritius so can’t give much advice specific to the area. Back in RSA I think we push the equipment and boats the limit and have never been failed. I’m sure you will have great success in Mauritius. Most important part is safety so make sure you not alone and have someone that can assist in an emergency. Know how to read currents, conditions and weather.

Hi Ronnie, Justin has a Stealth Fusion and I fish off a Stealth Profisha 575. Which boat would be best for you is difficult to answer. The 575 is narrower and longer so it’s less stable and less manoeuvrable in the surf but is faster and you can fit a 8ft rod in it. The Fusion is slightly slower, more stable and is made from plastic so more robust. If you looking for a good alround kayak the profisha 525 is my recommendation. If you are a bigger guy the the the fisha 555

There's always a risk doing anything in the ocean. Sharks are out there, but they shouldn't keep you from getting a kayak and fishing. You're more likely to get injured driving to work than you are getting chowed by a shark. They very seldomly bother us. And if there are around it’s usually after a fish you catching. Most of the time they eat the fish far away/bellow the kayak

Some habits die hard😂 but on a more serious note the kayak is a lot more stable when you have you feet off the side. Hence why we do it

Hey man so the rod is custom but it’s about 6’2 -reel is a Daiwa SL 30- braid is 30 pound J braid 8 strand with 50 pound fluro leader.

Went out at Eastmore beach. I didn't do any fishing, just spent the morning getting the hang launching and beaching, not graceful at times but survived. Such a kiff morning, looking forward to doing some fishing next time out.
