There are two ways commonly used. The method I showed and using alternating half-hitch's. It comes down to personal preference. Give them both a try and see what works for you

I do not want to be too critical; however, you should have firm, not tight, wraps. (This is very important for bedding the knot properly and creates a slimmer profile.) You do not need to place a heap of wraps to finish the knot, and you did not bed the knot down. Your knot may work in some applications, but it is not a slim profile with all those finishing wraps and will not travel through the eyes very well. You should finish the knot with a full hitch and a half around both the braid and the leader, then bed the knot down. Then, finish it by doing the same knot on the braided line. Then, snip your leader as close as possible to the knot and leave a 3-5mm tag on your braid. (you do not need to burn anything) Give that a go and upload a video that will work for all anglers. Thank you for the feedback. We will give this method a try. Whether to use half hitches or a Rizzoto finish comes down to personal preference. This technique has worked well for me but always looking to improve.

@@saltrockers If your preference is about something other than achieving the slimmest profile, your example is okay. You should really bed that thing before finishing it off, though.
