A grade 2 or 3 injury could take up to 6 months to fully recover. TBH, you’d have been better off with a clean break, it would recover quicker. Your rehabilitation and physiotherapy excesses will be critical as part of your recovery. Get well soon.👍

I was doing the job for 8 years, it went from a basic wage long hours job to suddenly struggling for anything. The times i sat in a layby from 7am and was still there at 2pm, soul destroying. Its a shame places like CX show new members a magical screen with 500 jobs on so you pay the £1700 membership fee... then log in and as you say, 1 job in all of Wales. 🤨

Oh Sad to here its so quiet and only 4 jobs in a week.. Hey but thats far better than me.. Today 20/4/22 I did a bit of research into this PLC that sends me many many "Man with a Van"..? Its With BARK..As a new joinee You would get free calls within your 1st Package I guess its down to negotiation skills..(Perhaps) 12 Calls £24.96.. I dont think it garantees work.. Another cheaper option.. But I then decided to do a little research into my own work and see how much if any I could earn.. I took a random Figure of £850 to cover in a 4 day cycle within a week x 52 It gave me An estimate of £44.200..I based my price per mile at £0.75 But it could go more pending how many deliveries. I am about to go out But say I did 58.968 miles a year in van total = 294.840 + The original Miles when I bopught van (77.770) That would have a total of 372.610 Ever curious I wanted to know with that mileage stake how much my 2014 van with service history would be worth... This Is a MEGA shock...£250 quid Webuy offered.. I felt insulted.. But the moral of the story if you have earned nearly £221.000 in almost 5 years I guess you would have a newer lower mileage van. My van hasn't really done many miles 127.600 there abouts..Im told its in very good condition.. Hope we all get more jobs..

Hi Big Foz Multi drop is deadly keep it short.. I did the training side of it Learned lots but Your just a robot if your AMAZON based Flex maybe different...70% of your earned income is outgoing costs that don't include fuel costs.. That's hiring there van.. But its still mind blowing expensive..

Hi Sarah, I admire all who do multidrop but it's hard work compared to Courier Exchange work. However starting costs are very expensive on the Courier Exchange and then waiting 75 days for payment on some contracts is bonkers. Also as I have discovered there are huge quiet periods on the CX. So whichever we choose to do, there are ups and downs. I tramp when the Cx is busy and that's when you earn the big money. At the moment though I'm driving HGV again, waiting for the Cx to get busy😁

I presume your van is 2.2 TDI...Around 36 miles to a 5 litres /gallon. That story about the shipper getting 45p a mile sounds like she went with SHIPLY.. I've learned so much out of pricing.. I get into bidding wars.. I did have deliver where it was a full van load and some I never really worked out my costings 100% but i was between £53 and £63 per drop.. Had my driver found work going from were I live in Swansea to PE19 but that was dead miles And then Dead miles to 1st drop.. The driver had to take me back to Swansea from Taunton and drive back to his next delivery.. The circuit we had was around BA11/BA4/BA5/TA11/TA1/TA4/TA24 Just some out of 11. No your not waffling your making loads of sense.. and I know. I friend worked in London back in 2007 his weekly wage for 50 hours on circuit was £300 His rental van (with the company ) £200 (£50 was a weekly deposit) for 10 weeks. There was bonus income too... £1.00 per job loaded So in your example I had 2 collections x4 London to Bedford Northampton Coventry and Leeds.. that was a good day but nothing returning.. He worked 7 days because he loved the job and weekends is laid back..

Really having a look at your video's today 30/3/22.. Beats what I normally do.. Wow you van looks well kitted out.. I guess my work is somewhat different. For instance I had 3 full size pallets described as half size by the customer. (Customers what do they know)... when they just want cheap quote.. Tut tut.. Luckily it was just loads of boxes with some lose packaged items.. I just ripped the pallets open and filled the van I don't think at the time a fork lift was available.. Luckily only light boxes but gave me a 45 minute work out. Didn't think id have it in me.. But the £100 pound the other end was exciting to get.. Just get on with it. Again I am shocked you said you managed £1700 in one week.. Amazing.. I should be honest Back around 2001 I used a hatchback car for London courier work then eventually had my Escort van Rico couriers was just one such PLC and Then in 2007 as I missed the job got in E-couriers East London My health played up in 10 weeks of doing And another job went. My best ever weekly total in part time terms was a mere £830 only literally 2 jobs. Trying to word this I took a helper who without I would have been in trouble..!!! I did all the driving I am based in Wales near Cardiff So job in Peterborough and jobs was going 160 miles radius of Taunton both postcodes TA And BA.. 12 drops to schools.. Lot of mileage so fuel bill was more than expected.. Finally took me on to Chippenham going Cranleigh nice job In theory just under 2 days work. Had to hang out from 3.30pm Wednesday till 9.00 am Thursday to get final completion funds.. Total hours of all deliveries 15 hours. but plenty of hours driving.. The thing I love about the work its not really work its a hobby it gets me out n about enjoying the open countryside.. As I occasionally collect Boxed toy cars for myself.. I love meeting people. For any guys who love Toy car collecting This has to be the Aladdin's cave .. "Little Wheels" its based on countryside business park worth a visit.. I will be back..

Great clear fun video.. New to your video today 30/3/22 I was a courier self employed.. Wasn't on CX really could not afford it.. And I am not sure I like the way it works from payment to the (CX PLC) to The paying you. I am GUESSING from your voice Your down the M5 corridor way Devon Cornwall or Taunton even..? With the cost of fuel Its better to drive for someone else they make profits.. unlike a courier who barely survives. I myself Have a 14 old shape transit van 2.2 tdi I started buying it at the end of 2017 October time.. I worked two platforms Shiply and Any Van and used Marketplace after some months to try and gain jobs.. but my pricing was far too low.. Fuel cost has slightly put me off, but my issue is I had a job from South Wales to Essex and I bid on other jobs in these areas on route M4 /m40 and A40 M25 ect People came onto me after I had delivered job So I rejected one Had a follow on delivery on the Monday and this Bridlington job went out the other week for just £56 (but got paid £70) and pulled a Tetbury job to Kings Langley £48 So really struggled with fuel cost. And sadly not bothered doing job since. Four years looking bidding e-mailing for jobs with occasional delivery at 50 something its time to rest up a bit. Would love to hear more about your experiences on the CX From actually getting the job right through to receiving your quoted payment..? Did you ever get given any cash jobs..? Look forward to hearing from you.. as I need some inspiration to get back into my job.. I even have my own website Good luck with agency job..

45ppm in a lwb .............. it costs you 40ppm ! ................. if you do 40 mile at that rate you earn 2 quid minus your running costs ........... so your not even running for free , you are paying for another company to exist !!!!! £40 mini ...... at least a quid a mile to pay the bills You fight it out with the people who will not be around at this time next year every day because they simply dont do the mathematics . Edit ...sod it lets do it swb and medium ... thats 80pplm Anything bigger at least a quid a mile . If you run for less than this you will NOT last . The grand that drops into the account ( at some point in the distant future ) is useless when you have a 600 quid fuel bill , 200 on insurance and 100 on all the other crap . You mugged yourself off and fed those who would exploit your efferts ............... so a quid a mile YEAH !!!!!!!!! .............. french shit like partners etc runs at 50+mpg , bigger stuff gets more choise of work but does less mpg . Its horses for course . Less than 30 miles call it 40 quid .... it maybe a mile or it maybe 29 .... its 40 quid as you are on hours not distance . The shippers are charging 75+ the vat so they will not ignore your quote . Handball add 20 an hour ...... multi drop do your mini ( 40 ) and add a tenner a drop/collection upto the point its half a day at which point you call it £100 ( around 5 or more drops distance depending , yes i know the math doesnt add up , theres always an overlap ) . More than half a day its 160( swb ) -200 (lwb) . You get more like the 180 on a regular but if there posting up a full day ad hoc then they aint getting it cheap . Waiting is 20 an hour .......... lets run through that so you know and can call their bulshit . Sat on the M40 your doing 60 miles in an hour . Thats worth a potiential £48-60 an hour . However you burn through fuel so its a fair statement to say for sitting around doing nothing but stressing and hassling people you see £20 for your trouble . Get it into YOUR notes on the CX . They called you so give you the job on this rather than the £10 or 15 an hour some seek to pay knowing full well your days likely to be ruined by JLR or JCB . Its not unreasonable or excessively expensive . Its realistic . The excat same with handball ..... give them 20 minutes and a call , then 20 minutes free if they get it together and charge them at the hour . We are not a charity ..... they are not a charity . They pass the cost on and so should you . Good luck out there ... you will need it .

Great video pal. I’ve been going around 14 months now and these last few months sure have been quiet. The cost of diesel on top really is testing us all. I’m bidding on jobs and not getting a sniff due to the low prices. It's really busy around Leeds I've never seen it quiet. Even jobs on weekends. I only look at LWB and Luton jobs so God knows how many jobs inc small vans but we're lucky as many cities all within 40 odd miles. If someone's doing 45p per mile either a backload or co load.

Leeds and surrounding always looks after me . An area i always run home full on and im happy to be there . Im backloading after getting the £1 to £1.10 on the outbound so aim for around 80pplm or more on the backloads with good sucess ( luton ) . Without knowing it you sir are in a half decent place ! . To give a flavour i visited a friend in wales last year . On checking for jobs there was a total of 4 within 30 miles and 11 within 50 . January i was there again and in 24 hours at 75 miles there was ZERO jobs ............. none , not even 1 .......... This after xmas has been special . Nice to see a rambling video for a change, although I do like the road trip videos too. I agree that you need to quote pence per mile, but I do think it's worth seeing how the takings for the day or week translate into an hourly rate if only to see if you're picking the right jobs or not or whether your strategy needs changing.

Hi Hot5and7 thank you for your comment. If it works for you, keep on doing it. Im sure their are a plethora of strategies used and each will have its merits. What you new guys don't understand is the reason CX was setup many years ago. I have been on there 15 ,of my 19 years trading. CX used to vet properly and only had established transport companies join as it was / is a backload site. As the years have past many jobs are moved by direct phone calls to trusted subbies. So fewer jobs go on the system, CX have also taken on many new members selling it as a " got a van and satnav ?" Then come on in. It is basic supply and demand, it's killed rates. And many new members have got themselves bad feedback in a short time and decent companies won't use them. They then employ there own drivers that they can trust and keep there reputation. Then you have the KZbin blogs which are attracting more competition which I really don't understand why a business person would want to attract more competition to them selves.
@bigfoz8533
@bigfoz8533 2 жыл бұрын
Hi sprinter driver, as you know all things change with time and the CX is definitely not the same as when you joined. They have seen a business opportunity and are following a different strategy from inception to now, too grow and become a leader in the field of courier exchange platforms. We all need a place to start a new business and the CX helps to provide this. Their vetting system is fairly robust in that if you cant provide the necessary insurances and vehicles then you aint coming in. This prevents complete idiots and cowboys from joining as its quite expensive. I agree it is important to have your own customers and end users, as this is necessary too not be solely reliant on the CX, it is also more financially rewarding. As for most KZbinrs out there including myself, we a just trying to help and provide information and entertainment for others.
@sprinterdriver4757
@sprinterdriver4757 2 жыл бұрын
@@bigfoz8533 unfortunately you are wrong. There are more idiots on there now then before because they are not vetting people in are they a business that can bring work and take work. There are many bottom feeders and bedroom freight forwarders that are trimming rates to end users by 20% and more. To then cover the job and give them a margin they need a constant churn of inexperienced green no business acumen types to meet the needs of the forwarders. This is fact from someone who as been undercut on contracts that have meant staff losing there jobs. I recently had a job covered by someone that was convinced that he would not get paid by CX if he didn't have his tracker on and did upload photos. He was adament that I didn't pay him CX did. And CX found him the work. He didn't even know he had a confirmation with my requirements on it. ( My customers delivery notes form part of there c of c so not data they want on a web platform) but he uploaded everything. The new members with a KZbin channel saying drop a card in, cut out the middle man. All people who are not what good companies want doing there work and representing them. Of I knew you CX I'd maybe call and explain what's wrong with CX and why so much work is now going via other methods
