Thank you for the video. I cleaned some of the filth from the interface board, but the main issue for my F6 F3 error was that the connector to the main board was slightly loose and disconnected. It must have shimmied upward from all the vibrations over the years. I popped that baby back in and put a little liquid electric tape over it to keep it snug.

8/2023 Worked! I would recommend avoiding the putty method and just take off the entire top cover (multiple videos on how to do this on KZbin), it gives the option to clean any detergent spots and remove built up dust. Also it was way much easy to unhook the screen. Once the solder joints are clean and everything is put back together, reset the error code for reassurance (also how to on KZbin). I've done 3 loads back to back and no issues!

I have an easier fix. Just pull the electric plug, then press "Hold To Start" button to discharge the power supply filter capacitor. When the lit display panel finally goes off, wait a few seconds and plug the washer cord back in the outlet. The washer will reset itself and you will be able to use the washer without any error codes. No screwdrivers, no cleaning terminals, no soldering, no expense. This works with most smart devices.

Okay, tried the quick fix and I continue to get a F6E2 or 3.. The corrosion is removed and it looks good but doesn't work and I've done a reset and left power off for a while... same issue diagnostics push buttons works and reset works but then power does not. I would think getting a new "Whirlpool WTW8500DC2 Console - Genuine OEM" at $185 would be the right part to get or do I need to get the Control unit at $295? BTW, I did check the cable continuity and it was fine. Thanks, good video!

It might be solder joints that you can't see as well this just ended up being the fix that worked for me. Did you try soldering it other than just cleaning it?
@ariefrafeeq984 Жыл бұрын
I know this is an video but I thought I would share my experience in case anyone are having the same issue. I got someone to come and check it. They told me I have to replace the control touch screen panel and I might as well change the control board. He recommended me to buy a new washer. I sat for a couple days thinking what to do. Buy the parts or buy a new washer. I came across this video and read the comments. I did exactly this. Clean the contacts with rubbing alcohol and cute tips. Guess what!!!!!!??? My washer works perfectly fine now. Please take note for these types of models. Do this before buying anything.

Hello, I know you have already had a comment regarding performance in low temperatures, but could you give more input on this? I am in Iowa and will for sure see below zero winter days... How has it performed? Have you needed additional space heaters, or has a fan done well enough to facilitate the heat through the building?
@milesmorgan47892 жыл бұрын
My dad is in his late 60s and seems to be always cold. He likes it to stay 74 in there all winter. He has to have a space heater back in the bedroom and bathroom as this unit is mounted perpendicularly to the hallway that goes to both, but the living room/kitchen where it is mounted stays plenty warm. If i had to do it again I would maybe find a two head unit just to help get the heat and cooling to the other rooms.

You guys apparently don't read the directions, you have to have a minimum of 16'-20' of linesets, per run, if it's a small room the air temp sensor reads return air of 64° it will shut off, and not operate properly, if you want to cool or heat other rooms with the one head use a fan, but always use the whole lineset of 25', lift unit off ground and coil lineset underneath, don't coil up vertical or will cause oil trap, you guys are amateurs, been installing Fujitsu for 22yrs. Not 1 failure or warranty ever done and all units are still running great. In Arizona, and they get used, installed 3 ton 5 head unit in 1400 square ft. 3 bdrm home with 7"-8" foam insulation at 76° and looking at electric bill of less than $175 per month during June, July, & Aug. Winter only need in morning to take chill off bill in winter will be less than $60, less than a $1000 per yr. we even sleep with window cracked in master 65° set temp at night and 70° 7-9 am then at night a little space heater will keep living rm/kitchen at 73° during the evening before bed so other units don't run much only when needed. Very pleased customer.

@milmor19884 жыл бұрын
Hey Joe, it takes a little bit of work to find it and it feels like you are going to break something, it takes me about 5 minutes to find it the first side and then only like 30 seconds the second time. Go in where i showed and the video and prod around until you hit something and just press it back it's like a spring loaded clip

Thank you so much for this. It's videos like these that really make the internet an amazing place. I have a Kenmore Series 700s and after searching for 2 hours, I found your video which showed me how to take the top panel off. Seriously, I LITERALLY couldn't find a video on youtube or anywhere online that mentioned how to take off the top panel. I don't mean to sound demanding but if you could add "Kenmore Series 700s" in the description or something, I think it would really help out others as it seems like these are basically the same exact washer. All the internals seem to match up. Even the service manual, (google search "Tech Sheet - W10607408" to find the official service manual) seems to work with my Kenmore. Thanks again.
