The video title poses a question, the video answers it: "not that bad", we were able to do normal activities, like eating and working out. We were sharing our real experience of crossing the Drake Passage. Click bait is when the title has nothing to do with the video. Thanks for your feedback tho.

Great videos of your Antarctica trip, thanks. At 15:42 you showed a map, can you advise where it can be obtained/purchased? (We're going in Feb next year on the same itinerary/ship, but they have cut out Chile, and put more sea days on the Atlantic side ...!). Also for winter clothing, did you feel that what you took gave adequate coverage in terms of warmth/weather protection. I have also heard that one should layer clothes. thanks in advance..
@thelifeofreillytravels2 ай бұрын
Hi, thanks for watching! 😊 You'll love the cruise, it's a great itinerary! Actually, we bought that map in a gift shop in Punta Arenas, Chile, but you could probably find a similar one in BA or one of the other ports on your itinerary. Yes, layers are definitely the best plan, especially as you'll travel from warmer weather to cold in the space of a few days and also while you're on sea days in Antarctica, you'll probably be in and out on deck alot throughout the day as they announce things to see, so will want to layer up/down quickly! Hope you have a great time!😁

Im an artist living alone on my fruit farm, if you guys ever wanna do saipan right, this is the good side. the other side is painful. This side is paradise. I could easily show you guys all the hidden discounts of living here, you paid 5x more than you should have to stay for a month.

Tinian is a 30 min plane ride away. Not 5 min. The disrespect in the past two videos of NMI is wild. Not one mention of Chamorro or Carolinian culture. No fresh coconut, mango, roasted pig… no videos with locals. U really did the island dirty. Tourists stick to beach rd… old man by the sea, bird island, suicide cliff, banzai hill, and mt tapochau. To post a video like these misses the culture that’s here
@kamaboko12 ай бұрын
Take a chill pill. Were you expecting them to attend a Chamorro language class? Maybe chew on some betel nut? Also, Tinian is a 15 min plane ride from Saipan. Absolutely not a 30 min flight. Check the flight schedules.
@thelifeofreillytravels2 ай бұрын
Guam was a 30 minute plane ride, Tinian is much closer. Sadly, it was the wrong time of year for fresh mango, or we would've loved to try some. It was local friends who took us to places like Bird Island, Forbidden Island and Mañagaha. And we did try fresh coconut & BBQ but since these were held in friends' private gardens, we wished to respect their privacy by not posting the footage online. We're happy to accept constructive criticism and try to improve our future videos, but please do it in a respectful way.😊

Hey guys, I have a week to spend on either Guam or Saipan (can't do both), which one do you recommend? I'm in my thirties and like nature, a bit of beach, hiking. Thank you!
@thelifeofreillytravels3 ай бұрын
Hey! Thanks for your message. Hmm that's a hard choice! Saipan is much smaller so if you only have a week, you might feel you'd get to explore it more thoroughly. We have a soft spot for Saipan as we spent a month there, so got to see alot, lots of great spots for snorkeling and swimming, did a couple of hikes, the longest one on the island is probably Forbidden Island, that only took around 45 minutes each way. It's also less built up than Guam, feels a bit like stepping back in time 30 years or so. Guam is alot bigger and we felt a week wasn't long enough to explore thoroughly, there are more options for hiking, snorkeling etc there. Guam feels more like a mini version of the US, but maybe 20 years ago, big wide roads, the main city full of high rise hotels. It really depends what type of person you are and what you like out of a holiday, sounds like you're an active, outdoors type person who's more interested in nature than infrastructure, so you'd probably like Saipan. But both islands are beautiful and definitely a slower pace of life than Westerners are used to. Whatever choice you make, for sure you're gonna have a great trip! All the best! And thanks for watching! 😁

Don't feel too bad. There are very few people from the US that have been taught about Saipan and its importance during WWII. Out of more than 1000 people I asked, ONE knew about Saipan and the CNMI. That was my grandfather. A Cold War Combat Vet. He spent most of his 9 years in the Pacific. Now I'm a photographer working with my gramps and living on Saipan. . Yes. It's very expensive to live here. But then again, I NEVER have to SHOVEL SNOW! It's cool you got to see some of the sites and visit a few places. Hopefully your one month vacay was optimal in the long run and hope to see more videos like this one. Couple of tips though. As far as audio, if you have a preamp for your mics, turn the gain up a bit more (5-8%). Also, the background music should remain in the background. It should never drown out the speaker. The music overpowered the speaker throughout most of the vid. When adding music, test its decibel levels and set your music to 15-20% LOWER than the speaker's voice. . Hopefully. we'll see you on a return visit. Stay safe and Happy Travels.

A little bit about the local culture: if you yell in the cave, you will disrespect the ancestors, the people from the past who died there, and they will make you sick local superstitions. That cave used to be one of the best treks until they installed the walkway. It used to be a hike into the jungle from the roadway to the cave with no barriers.
