Thank you for your transparency. 👏🏾 This is the content that I was searching for. I hate that I found your channel now at the end of 2024. Would you consider building a channel to teach intro Korean language classes for travelers? You are very well spoken and your content is concise. New bestie/subbie from Texas

This is how I feel....right now....lol....I love femininity and taking care of myself. I'm tired of the stresses that come with being educated black female in America. I did not chose America my parents brought me here at 2. Thankful for America and all it's blessings. I just want to chose a less race conscious society. Now as a middle age adult it's so hard to leave and start over. But I'm glad your showing there is a whole world out there. I just hope the😅 global perspective of black woman are better and we don't have to get paid less for someone or group to feel more valuable about themselves. Your value is not how much money you make people. It's a lie used to manipulate our self esteem.

One thing I'm noticing and wanting to help show you guys is that there are ways to take back your lives without quitting your jobs and moving away. (Since I know that this is not a viable option for everyone. ) I want to help you enjoy and thrive in life, regardless of what season you're in. I know you'll find the peace you need. Feel free to always reach out, I'm here. 💞

I just started learning Korean over the summer. I just found pimsluer two weeks and I love it! It’s a little boring but I like to do it while walking and then I like to listen once more before bed. It helped so much. Still a beginner but I’m understanding a lot. My Korean classmate told me I really improved from the beginning of summer. I also use TTMIK and I really enjoy it.

As a black South African who grew up in the UK, I had the pleasure of visiting Singapore in 2018. During my 5-day, 5-night trip, I explored the Singapore Zoo, Sentosa Island, and the breathtaking Gardens by the Bay. Although it was an expensive trip, it was truly magnificent! As a black person walking the streets of Singapore, I felt a bit isolated, but excited to spot another black person across the road. We exchanged warm greetings and had a great conversation - it turned out to be an African American brother! I explored various areas, including Robinson and Clarke Quay, and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. What struck me most was the sense of safety and freedom I felt in Singapore, unlike in South Africa and London, where I always have to be mindful of my surroundings due to crime. Singapore was a breath of fresh air - quiet, peaceful, and worry-free. I long to return in 2028 with my family and experience that beauty again. It was truly an amazing place!

@@jozaworld1 You know that feeling of freedom, mate, where you're completely worry-free? No police officers tailing you, no security guards keeping a close eye on you when you enter a store. No one's judging you, and you're just free to be. I cherish that kind of freedom, and Singapore gave us a taste of that experience. It was amazing to feel so liberated and at ease!

I'm so sorry you experienced people not being up front with you or apologized for not doing what they should have. I've been lucky to have co-workers who tell me things and look out for me. Even today one of my co-workers wanted to make sure I know we have off tomorrow and I speak Korean. Those people you met were def hiding behind culture, but even Korean people know that's wrong. And as for dating? ha, I think because of my age some men don't even bother approaching me. I've met one guy who has been very kind and honest. But then, I didn't have a good experience dating in America either. LOL I've also noticed that Korean people are so busy with the rat race and they usually have friends from grade school, that they don't even really want to make new friends. Like, real friends. Not just English language partners.This part of living in Korea should be told. Thank you for sharing your experience, hun.

I hope this doesn't come off rude but how would one even begin to save up enough to do this?
@jozaworld19 ай бұрын
That's not rude at all bestie! One of the reasons I'm able to do this is because I created my own small business and it generates enough income for me to work for myself remotely. But I researched a ton of other people who did adult gap years and sabbaticals and people would save for about a year (factoring in all of their monthly bills and what-not) Most did have to quit their jobs though, so you'd have to also factor in when to start looking for work again, should you choose to go back to work after. Hope that helps lovely. I appreciate your question. ❤

Sounds like Spain… only downside to Spain is that there’s no boundaries so people come up to you and TOUCH YOU! Especially on the booty. I got my ass grabbed more in Spain than I ever had in my life…. And I mean it would be in just random settings! Once in the public resting stop for buses and I go to the bathroom and start washing my hands at the sink. A old woman in like her 70s maybe 80s comes out the bathroom stall and just grabs and SQUEEZES my booty saying “Grande Culo” and walks out. Doesn’t even wash her hands… 😅
@michulafrance1179 ай бұрын
lol Korea sounds like Sevilla Spain to me. I was always getting stares and I’d just wave and smile and they won’t even wave or smile back just UNBREAKABLE EYE CONTACT! So I’d just stare back and when they gave up I would be like “YAS I WON!” 😅
@jozaworld19 ай бұрын
Hahahaha you are bold! That eye contact always creeps me out just a little, but you definitely get used to it after some time haha
