Now just imagine what another another 1 year of improvement would look (and feel) like, then 2 years, then 10 years.. Keep it up!

Did u learn acoustic guitar first or just bass because i would like to learn bass guitar but have never properly learned normal guitar and my school said i have to start with acoustic
@bigmanhj64034 ай бұрын
If you can play guitar already you'll be able to learn bass faster and vice versa, but if you want to learn bass just learn bass

This is great dude. Really. Keep it up. Definitely keep on with the metronome. You need to find music that you love, and really "feel" the music (what ever that means to you. Let your plucking hand thumb slide over the strings... I notice that you still position the thumb like it's resting on the lower string. It's all about building insane muscle strength in both hands.

Use your plucking hand thumb to mute low strings that you're not using. Let it float over the strings; perpendicularly to the strings. This gives you a cleaner sound and more control. Pull your plucking fingers across the strings (ie. Give it less attack). Practice scales (of any flavour) to a metronome, and focus on the bottom four frets. Make sure to fret "just behind" the frets. This gives you immense power and control over the notes. Practice slowly and deliberately. Learn and understand the cycle of 4ths and 5ths.

Keep it up dude. Today I found more bass playing on your channel than I found on Davie504's.

Great improvement! Aside from playing with a metronome and keep good time, which will come naturally with more playing time, you should time some time to practicing muting the strings with both hands so you can get a clean sound from each note played ( You can use " I Want you back" as practice because it is fast and for it to groove each note has to sound on its own, with no open strings sounding together). I hope this helps and keep up the good practice 🤘

I'm always scared when I get videos like this recommended. I'm afraid that my self-esteem will get destroyed by someone with unbelievable improvement in a year. Fortunately that never happens and we all still suck 🤣

Never apologize yourself for making mistakes when learning. We all start at the beginning, the progress in between doesn't define us, the result does.

I've been playing for about 7 months and I find it funny how there are some things you seem to struggle with and I'm like pffft, that's easy and then the slapping and I'm thinkin damn I'm still trying to figure that out. I thought it was funny how differently we all progress. Awesome job!

You improved a lot in just one year mate, congratulations. Play with a metronome, as other people suggested (even if it is open strings or something like that), learn how to silence properly the string you are not playing and you'll do great!

Hello. good progress on the electric bass. One piece of advice is to try to rest your thumb on the string above the one you are going to play. You will get a cleaner sound with less noise and you don't have to stretch your hand so much to reach the strings, you will have a more relaxed hand. greeting
