Wow! Finally, a really helpful planning video without endless chatter and hand waving! I am a baby boomer and did not grow up with computers. I had no idea my Google calendar could do all this -thank you so much! I am now subscribed!🥰

When it comes to budgeting, Excel is my best friend. Through trial and error, I've finally found a layout that works for me and is easily adjusted, if I come up with new ideas. Budgeting books have never really worked for me because of the pre-printed layouts. I did enjoy this video though (as I do enjoy all of your videos), and seeing these planners gave me new ideas on improving my Excel even more. Especially the 5 % pie chart thing was so clever! So, thank you! 🤩

I use their registry book for my checkbook. I absolutely love it. I don't write checks, but it helps me keep track with every debit and deposit transaction.

I am in a planner slump bcuz I never really had a set planner type other than the fact that I prefer paper planning. I have happy planner all sizes & kellofaplan classic size disc system… I have dailies & weeklys & monthlys… I came across the stalogy notebook… bought an a5… fell in love with the paper. Then decided I wanted something smaller so I can fit it in my hoodie pocket at work so it’s with me whenever I need to jot something down so I bought an a6… I bought nice leather covers for both. I have a passion for stickers. I make them & in turn I get some much needed dopamine (I have severe adhd & a touch of autism). I thought about possibly starting a small sticker business or making tip-ins. Idk yet. Maybe I’ll use the a6 to plan tat out.

My best trick I’ve learned this year is to tab your pages in groups! All of my morning trackers and spreads are tabbed together, my evening trackers tabbed together, my weekly trackers tabbed together, my monthly trackers are tabbed together. So I know when I get thru all my tabs for that part of my planner check in, I can feel confident that nothing got missed. And now, I know what order those spreads need to be in for 2025!

I have to say that I found your info very helpful. For 2025 I am switching to pocket rings. I want to be more productive and organized. I have been watching other KZbinrs for inspiration. Some have too much info and others don't have enough. I usually don't use daily inserts but this coming year I will only have a general daily format. Probably a foldout for 7 days. The Recurring Task List, the detailed Trigger List, and gathering supplies was wonderful. Thanks

I am brand new to the planning system. Once upon a time I was extremely busy taking my husband and his sister to doctor appointments. As my sister in law's dementia progressed, I became her conservator and fiduciary, so demand on my time increased greatly. All I used for years was a small, two year pocket monthly date book, usually from Amazon for a couple of dollars, and a large wall calendar. I color coded everything as well, which helped me a lot. She passed away in January, 2024, and then my husband had a stroke in October last year. He passed away on Father's Day 2025, and I suddenly found myself without a job! I started getting back into daily Bible study, and I discovered that I needed some kind of system to keep track of each study. I'm keeping separate spiral bound notebooks for each different pastor, and even though I am using tabs to separate each new set of lessons, I needed a place to consolidate everything. I think the planner I settled on will be the answer for me, I hope! I no longer use a large wall calendar so I am going to put birthdays and appointments in the planner as well. I can't believe how many choices are available for this planning community. It's going to be quite the learning experience for me, and beginning at my age will be a challenge, but I'm ready to dive in!

this was the best video I've seen all season...especially your last tip about watching for rabbit holes (at least that's what I wrote down in my notes as I look at the pile of boxes from Amazon and Happy Planner and almost every other "planner company" known to man stacked half way to the ceiling that I still need to take out to the trash 🤪) Thank you!!!

These are great tips and will definitely try for 2025. For the grocery list though, i found that making a digital checklist is helping me a lot. Usually all items are already ticked off and as I go through them before shopping, i untick those lacking 😊

The Weekly Review questions that are working very well for me in this season of life are: 1. What went well this week? 2. W hat challenges did I face this week? 3. What lessons did I learn this week? 4. What were my bliss moments or highlights this week? 5. What can I do to make next week better? 6. What are some fascinating stories I could tell about this week? I use a separate inexpensive notebook for this. I love having this glimpse into my week's history. It also helps me recall the many good things that I experience each week.

I think figuring out the why there is a need for a planner/any specific planner is THE most important tip. It can save you so much money and time. As far as goals go, I am a sahm. I don't have a ton of career goals so I often think I don't need to worry about goals in general. Creating fun goals as well as personal growth goals though will be a focus for me in '25 so as to move into "thrive vs merely survive" mode for the coming years as my kids get older.

Love it. I'd add don't over- think it, and don't force it ( If it doesn't work for you, don't try to force it cause you spent $X on it, or it's so pretty, etc ). I'm guilty of doing both. Currently, overthinking my choice for 2025, and idk why, cause it'll all come together just fine. Thanks for the video!

I know that some people like to go into great detail on their goals. I prefer to keep mine simple and concise, but then I add Project Notes pages to the back of my planner where I detail the lengthy list to track all the parts of a project. I consider that and my Recurring List to be the places I go to "shop" for my quarterly (and therefore monthly and weekly) tasks/projects.

in my mind a future log is what planning is all about. I have a planner because I want to see what commitments I made, what appointments I have set up and what events are coming up. If I want a diary I get a book for that.
