Jesus christ. to be there during this performance with everything so clear and everyone singing along. Jimmy's dragging the time a bit but they're still tight as fuck. Ringo's shoes are impossible to fill, he did a great job.

Anyone notice the look the left beatle gave the right when he was singing? And how he quickly looked away as the singer looked back? Lol what was that, why didn’t he want the eye contact?

It was classic Lennon-McCartney performance banter in a sense. Paul (featured left) and John (featured right) could find themselves inadvertently in a giggle fit when doing these promo videos for Top Of The Pops or promo just in general. They were all best friends n whatnot - so trying to not make eye contact at times would be good lest a giggle fit ensue - as promo videos done by them were never taken seriously and they liked to goof off

Hope they don't cut this bit out of the upcoming Doctor Who Season 2 blu ray release. I know it was on the dvd but apparently there were a lot of complicated rights issues that had to be worked out before that could happen. Hopefully the BBC is still willing to go that extra mile this time too.

He was actually a pretty good drummer. He doesn't sound like Ringo, but he had his own style and skills as you can tell just from this short clip. Kind of rougher and aggresive but still pretty unique with a good beat. There are definitely some bands he would have fit in even better, but they didn't exist yet back in 1964. Job well done for sure!
