It drives me nuts that there are people who are quick to extend credit to him for "ending wasteful spending" or "restoring meritocracy" even if they find him otherwise objectionable. 1) he's not actually planning to do any of that and 2) you have to understand his executive orders in the context of who he is, who he surrounds himself with and what he says. This is an important exercise for all elected officials, but he's the easiest case study! If we can't even pass this simple test of literacy with him, I don't know how we hold on to a democracy (such as it is).

Wow, commenting to boost the visibility of this channel because this is honestly one of the most insightful things I have heard about Trump and the era we live in. Especially with the rise of labor movements, it does seem we are experiencing echoes of that historical era.
