The recycling yarns r really nice. I can't wait to see the weaving on ur loom. I agree that crocheting or any craft is great for calming ones nerves. Also for me is going to the beach and body surfing. If you can believe that this Ole broad does it. Lol my friends call me a mermaid. Hey life is short, do what u love!!!

@bethparden2222 hi Beth!! Thank you so much!!! I came up with the pattern, but it's really just 5 pieces (front back, sleeves and the cowl). I just used the Iris stitch. I'll do a tutorial video!

Every yarny youtuber I've watched this week has sworn to God they're not buying new yarn this year, just using their existing stash. By the way, that's was my New Year's resolution too. I'm afraid, that if we could really keep this promise, the yarn manufacturers and yarn shops could pull down the curtain right now, but knowing myself and seeing the experiences of other ladies in knitting and crocheting groups in the past years... well... I don't worry about yarn sellers too much. I wonder how long we will be able to resist the temptation this year ;-)

I have been doing many scarves & lapthrows using this yarn during our blecchy cold Canadian winter but using Bernat ”Baby Blanket” which is not as dense which I love. & prefer. Soooo cozy & soft & washes like a dream. My grown son asked me to make him one which is a huge win for me. Presently making a rectangular granny with the Red Heart Bitty Stripes & turning out beautifully. Would highly recommend both.

@ I’m sensitive to weird things. For instance, if you had gauges in your ears I couldn’t watch 🤦🏼♀️. I think it was just the pitch at which the music climbed at times that made me tense. Sorry to be a pain.

On the granny blanket yarn, yes...but it's more of a "woven" as opposed to a knot. It's not too bad.

I also like pattern books like these!! I have Leisure Arts knitted dishcloth pattern books from when I first started knitting. Let's just say a lot of people got a lot of dishcloths that year! lol I think I made every pattern in those books. And you got to play with those cows? Jealous!! How fun!! Love your Christmas nails ... a little late, but still they look(ed) nice!!

You r so great at making clothes! I also had a Pug about 20 years ago named Bailey. He passed at 7 years old. I was devastated and havent had a dog since. My daughters reacued a half poodle half shitzsu named Belle and I love her to death. My daughter left me her hermit crab, when she moved out and I take care of him. Its alot of work..lol I love your Pug hat!! I would love to do that also what fun!! Looking forward to 2025!

Hi Linda, thank you for your comment. It made me giggle!! I had a pair of Hermit crabs when I was a child, I names them Mork and Mindy (dating myself for sure). Thank you for the compliment...I love to follow patterns but I find I can handle my own as well...at least I'm trying to 😂😂

I just choose a card from my crochet deck and created...4 panels (and a neck cowl) and it's done!!! To see the squares as they came in, being put together as blankets, and then be presented to the recipient’s has my heart so full! I was crying as I typed this comment!!! It was my pleasure to participate this year and I definitely will be doing it again in 2025!!! To see the joy on their faces and them being wrapped in blankets made with so much love was awesome!!!
