That makes sense. I can't remember if it was ever referred to as anything else other than 'Kuttenberg' in game?

When you were looking at the wall (from 19:10) the sounds in the background were exactly what I imagine the soundscape of KCD2 will be. Workers shouting at each other, dogs barking, no modern sounds.

I really felt the same on my journey to Talmberg too. They captured the place well, can't tell between the birds on the game and from my camera. Can't wait to hear the bustling streets of kuttenberg

great series, I watched Kuttenberg first and then this. The problem with Rattay is that it is far from "civilisation", so it is hard to "pump" money in there and tourism is unfortunately not that good. But some Czech people are going there - I would say in many cases even without knowing about KCD - there is beautiful nature around as you probably know :D, just not spending money there ...
@matyassiegel173213 күн бұрын
22:44 actually the monastery is across street. There is a Cathedral - which was rebuilt after Hussites destroyed it and next to it is the monastery - now its tobacco factory :(
@matyassiegel173213 күн бұрын
And a few years after the monastery was built (around 1140), there was church built in my village (1165), which will unfortunately be outside map. It is called church of st.James the Greater. But maybe it will be visible from some place

Kutná hora is suitable for tourists who want to experience an authentic medieval town without tourist attractions and crowds. It is a completely different experience than Prague, in Kutná Hora there are mostly only local people and there is almost no tourist traffic and attractions that were created for tourists.
@stepthroughhistory14 күн бұрын
I think that is one of the (many) reasons I loved it. It is a dilemma though (speaking as someone who lives in a place with a similar issue). I am caught between wanting to share the history and the beauty with more people but also not wanting it to be spoilt by being a tourist trap nightmare.

Kofola tastes good to people who don't like Coca-Cola. Those who like Coca-Cola often do not like Kofola. The taste has almost nothing to do with Coca-Cola, it has a taste of herbs and fruits, and it is much less sweet.

Henry could run around in full armor and not be effected by the heat for two reasons: a) KCD didn't factor temperature into the game beyond Henry's mother mentioning that 'today's a scorcher'; b) temperatures were lower in the 15th century. Part of that is due to the unusually high temperatures we are experiencing today, part from the mini-Ice Age they were having that ultimately wiped out the Norse Greenland colonies (the colonists seem to have starved to death because the local church wouldn't open their larders).

The markings on the trees walls signs etc. are official trails. They can be in 4 different colors Red, Green, Blue, Yellow. Each of this color means something. Red is for long or summit trail Blue means, that trail is in some way significant. Green is short local trail. Yellow is for shortcut, or interconnecting trail.
