how have those drawers held up? They look to just be pinned and glued, like kitchen drawers....seems suspiciously flimsy for something in a vehicle being jostled around constantly

Thanks for your question! I used the system for several long trips and the quality was consistent and it was durable. I’ve since sold the truck with the entire set up for the Rivian. Thanks.

I'm going to say no. The height is just not there. Most of the stuffed backpacks and carry-on luggage I've tried didn't fit. Decked makes a durable backpack that fits perfectly.

Hey. What brand of tire carrier you have? Do you recommend it?
@thevarsitydad6634Ай бұрын
Rig'd Supply - Ultraswing. I highly recommend it. They make 3 sizes and I have the largest. I think the medium size would have been the better fit for the gladiator.

Those instructions that came with it sucked. 79 languages, all just as vague, I'm sure. Tried watching an assembly video on KZbin but, no. Well, I can only screw it up only 2/3 times so....

Man that seems like a total assembly process to get that thing installed. Would be nice if some things came pre installed.

As I write this, my grilling grate is upside down, laying flat over the burner tube. In trying to remove it I'm at a dead end. The metal ledges on all sides prevent removal. That said, this isn't a complaint about this video or the grill itself. Rather, this being the only site I've found where I might make any kind of comment, I just gotta vent. COLEMAN'S CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPPORT SUCKS! I waited on hold for more than an hour to get help on what should be a QUIK FIX. So some rep in a call center blatantly not in the US spends at least 20 minutes getting my contact info. Without a ghost of help starting, the guy next says he's gonna send me two emails while we're talking. My email address was restated and confirmed three times over. But no email arrived, even checking the spam folder. The better part of two hours invested in just getting a %#€£ fix to what should be a #%*¥+ simple problem, I ended the pathetic call. Again, I see nowhere, especially on Coleman's website, to lead a comment/provide feedback. This is the first and only place a comment is being left. In short, to reiterate, COLEMAN'S CUSTOMER SUPPORT DEPARTMENT SUCKS!!!! Don't waste your time like I have. Up to and including me being angry enough to write this ^%< post. Blessings to us all....

@@benjaminbear138 Thanks for the question. I ended up changing vehicles and could not mount it on a smaller car and sold it. But during the year of use I got, it performed flawlessly and would not hesitate to buy it again!
@radioman99394 ай бұрын
I bought one of these on July 3rd for the holiday-worst grill I've ever owned in my life. The instructions for assembly are nothing more than ancient Egyptian pictographs so you WILL have to take apart and reassemble several times to get it right. On the 4th, I tried to cook a slab of ribs on the grill and it would not stay lit. Never got hot even on high setting. Ended up cooking in the oven instead. The grill has no thermometer and no gauge to see how much propane is left. Today is the 5th and Mr. Coleman is going to give me my money back. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS GRILL! (Or steal one; you'd be wasting your time)

I have mixed feelings about this thing, on one hand it is well thought out and is good for keeping things organized, but on the other it seems like it takes up a lot of room and limits hauling bigger items.
@thevarsitydad663410 ай бұрын
I understand. I was ok retiring the title "a friend with a truck", on moving day. haha
@jowens41609 ай бұрын
Depends on what your needs are. If you need to haul big things, it definitely limits usable bed space. I’m fortunate enough to have 2 trucks, 1 is a Nissan frontier with a hard topper and decked drawers, the other is a dodge 3/4 ton with an open bed. For me both trucks have their place, it just depends on what you need.

What rear bumper and tc are they for gladiator?
@thevarsitydad663410 ай бұрын
The bumper is the Fab Fours Standard Rear Bumper with Rigid LED lights. The tire carrier is an Ultraswing by RIGd Supply.

I am considering the decked system. I like the fact you covered some of the issues you had. Not to mention the Easter egg I noticed. My only issue so far is the best way to reclaim the bed depth so I am looking are rack systems. BTW what swing-out tire carrier is that?
@thevarsitydad663410 ай бұрын
Thanks! Only time will tell how I miss the bed depth. The tire swing is nice but it requires the tailgate to be fully closed, which limited what I could haul within the bed anyway. The swing-out is the UltraSwing by Rig'd.
