Everyone always complains about the xmaxx gears, i have the cheapest spur/pinion i could get off amazon in my truck right now just to see if i could destroy them. Today was my second time out running two sets of batteries through both times and the gears are still fine. If you don’t set your mesh correctly,the motor moves or something gets in the it’s gonna destroy the gears. I’m using a max 6 esc and the stock xmaxx motor with punch on 9 and I’ve never lost a gear. I have the little metal spacers that go between the motor bolts and the chassis to give it a better spot to tighten against.

For extra air flow on mine I think I'm gonna take the passenger insert out and mesh the windshield and windows, do you think this will work with cooling and keeping debris out

On the 3s packs, you have to put them in standing up on there side. Not laying down flat. Standing them up on the sides, they will both fit and the lid WILL close over the batteries

Try swapping to felony diffs and a spool. If you dare. They are same size, same with mojave. Parts are interchangeable, but you have way more room in fireteam to maximaze performance. Im still running stock electronics, and had to take 9 teeth out of gearing just to keep it on road. Mine is slammed with a body swap, and will absolutely smoke the felony. With current gearing, its around 130mph on 6s.

Fireteam allday. Best offroad driver out there. Mine is slammed and driveline swapped with a felony, with rear of a felony chassis cut off and mounted where bumper was so i could add a limitless wing. Absolute monster for speed and drifting, with ford lightning body and a team paint job with interior light kit. On my channel

The body is indestructible as far as the cage goes. The panels on it get beat up but the cage is solid as hell. Nothing cheap about it

Great vids! What pinion and spur did you finally land on for your xmaxx with the spectrum 1250kv? I just bought the 1250kv spectrum for mine and trying to decided on the best gearing.. For the stock motor I was running a 35/13 and it felt perfect for that lower torque stock motor but now that the spectrum has more power I'm thinking 35/14? Lmk, thanks!

Please help and suggest I am confused and unable to make decision between Felony Vs Infraction. Felony looks so awesome and tempting but has rear tires and different differentials whereas Infraction is same platform all rounder with okish looks. With no offense, it doesn't look safe when you carry the fireproof bag at 7:07. It'll become very hot if the battery caught on fire somehow. Maybe I'm too paranoid.

I think the real test is to actually set fire inside the bag to see if it will actually contain the fire? Surely you would smell the smoke and have time to throw away or put the fire out, if it does what its suppose to. Nothing wrong with being paranoid when you know the risk can cause some damage bro!
