There will always be differences in multi-racial Malaysia but we’ve learnt it is wiser to live in harmony after all we have more variety to choose when eating 😬the common denominator among us. Our town planning principles grew since colonial days that emphasize synergy between environment (natural surrounding) creator (spiritual/cultural values) and community(peoples’ basic needs). The rest is history.

I really want to bring back the stray cats that I saw each day to my room. Unfortunately am just a tenant, no pet are allow💔.Today I been scolded by security guard around the condo at my area. Because I feed & gave water to the stray cat. I knew they don't allowed us to feed stray. But I just can't walk away while this cat look so hungry. There are so many stray cat's need our help. They are on the street's, outside apartments, condo's, shop's and so on. HOW TO HELP those cat's? 😢

Belated welcome to Malaysia greetings. Thanks for your kind insights- perhaps one of the most important thing to remember about Malaysians' typical mindset is, Malaysians are brought up to disregard superficial societal labels and appearances- from race to social status, religions, academic backgrounds, and personal preferences, based on a firm belief that no one escapes Karma, good or bad... we all want to receive good Karma so it's an open secret across the land- each is quietly grateful to observe the Universal Law that points out, "Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will you also reap." -Galatians 6:7 🌺

Hello, He asked you if you were from Tokyo, but maybe his pronunciation is not something you recognize because of his accent. Also, “kejap lagi ya”, he’s trying to say that your drink will come momentarily. They do serve nasi kerabu at the restaurant, but you have to emphasize the ‘u’ in nasi kerabu. They didn’t understand it when you said nasi kerabu. It sounded like nasi kerab. But you did amazing! Thank you for trying to speak the Malay language. Much respect from a Malay.

I noticed Mr. Samurai Dad was hesitant to answer when the cashier asked where he lived in Malaysia. Jimmy from iChang channel also didn't understand why Malaysian like to ask where he and iChang live/stay. It is not really that we want to know exactly where you stay, and show up at your front door. But it's usually the general area, so that we can maybe suggest another restaurant, or say that we know someone who lives in the area - to have some sort of similarity, to connect. I assume it is a very personal question for the Japanese, but it is culturally normal for Malaysians to ask such question to create familiarity and bond with each other.
