Hi! I found this video helpful because as agender female I recently started thinking about having a kid and pregnancy in general, and seeing people like you talk about it made me more comfortable! Although I still am concerned about how it could affect me since I'm also neurodivergent and for my entire life the concept of having a baby inside me felt like straight out of alien movie - a horror. But ... I have hope😂

6 weeks already! You both look like you are taking to parenthood very well. You're so calm. You're very smart to do things for yourself to keep yourself in a good place physically and mentally. Also....keep those Mom tshirts, when they are roaming around under their own power they often use your tshirt to wipe their noses or hands, or you use it to wipe a runny nose if you're not near a tissue! I think my son was about 5 when I got rid of most of them. I think I still have one with paint on it from a project we did.

I've been thinking of keeping those shirts actually! As someone who does a lot of DIY and crafting, a shirt you're allowed to stain is absolutely a bonus! Thanks for coming back after my little break, I appreciate your support! <3

Yeah, I never could sleep when my baby slept. I think it took me a week to remember how to boil water. You look so great, and well rested even though you are not getting much sleep.

Honestly lucky enough to have a good sleeper, haha. And lucky enough to have my fiancé at home with us for the first weeks, helps a lot with getting some rest :)

Oh I LOVE the name Luna! I think that's a great choice. Unique, but not too unique for people to tease her or not to know how to pronounce it. You're looking so adorable and puffy! I remember near the end of my pregnancy almost 26 years ago (but I'm still 25!) my nose was swollen, I was swollen. The best/worst thing was, our son dropped in August and I started dilating a little then. He wasn't due until October. I had so much room in my tummy I could eat EVERYthing he demanded! I remember crying 7 plates in at a Mexican buffet. I only gained about 25 lbs total. I actually lost weight when he emerged. The OB assured me he was growing normally despite my lack of real weight gain. Our son has two middle names also. We picked out one name for a boy and one for a girl. I had thought I wanted more, but our family felt complete with just one. He had a wonderful feline brother from the time he was 3 years old until he was almost 23. People told us having one was bad. We've been pretty fulfilled! I pray you have a safe delivery, and that you delight in little Luna. You will know her cry the moment you hear it, but don't believe all those moms who tell you that you will always know what each cry means. I didn't. I was often very clueless! But we made it!

Dont be sad tbat you missed the first few months!!! Early ultrasound scans actually hurt young fetuses and can lead to miscarriage in the first trimester...but the world isnt ready for that conversation!

Read early and often! We were upset that our son chewed on some of his board books and destroyed them, until we realized they were his favorites. I was an at home mom for 16 years. I would play this game with him when he was about 2. I would read simple books to him and show him one word that he was to read when I got there. I traced under the words with my finger. When I got to the word, if he had lost interest and didn't read it more than once. I would get up to put away the book. Oh my! The tantrums that followed! I would always give him another chance. He refused to try reading on his own at all. One day he was 4. We bought him a Cat in the Hat book, from the back seat of the car he read the book cover to cover flawlessly. He was and is a very willful child even at 25. Thank you for not being a sad beige Mom. Kids need color, patterns and books.

Early and often is the plan! :) I also firmly believe that kids, especially small babies, need a lot of color and patterns, and books. I've read a lot of studies where it's been proven to improve their cognitive abilities later in life, so we're aiming for that! :)

@lexxbjorklund, do not worry about your baby. Lexx, this is the first video of yours I've watched. My birth mother had no idea she was expecting for FIVE months. She smoked, she did drugs, she drank heavily. I am 100% fine. I'm intelligent, I have no issues, I was born breach a day after her water broke. So many cards were stacked against me, but I am fine. That was way back in 1970. Your baby will be exactly the way your baby is supposed to be. There are signs of possible FAS, those include heart defects and growth delays. As long as baby is on target, then things should be fine. I know someone who had no idea she was pregnant until she went into labor. You're doing fine. All good mothers do the best we can as soon as we can. I think you will be a great Mom as long as you are present. Parenting mistakes will be made, you will yell, you will cry, you will feel powerless. Just say "I'm sorry" and identify why. Not all mothers know what each cry means.

Hi, thanks for your comment. Baby L is right on track with everything. Head size, shape, femur length, weight, everything they can possibly measure :) She's actually so smack in the middle of the target, she could be the standard according to our midwife. Her heart beat has also been strong and healthy from day one, and she's moving so much on every ultrasound that it's hard to get decent pictures of her! All signs are pointing to healthy, happy baby <3 Thank you for your support! I hope you'll stick around, the Internet needs more kind people like you :)

4:32 - According to your blog you drank heavily during the first four months of your pregnancy. I think that would indeed classify as hurting the baby. If you were trying to get pregnant, having unprotected sex for months, why didn't you take several pregnancy tests during those four months to see if you were pregnant? Couples who are trying actively are also taking home pregnancy tests frequently. Consuming alcohol at any amount at any time in your pregnancy is a grave risk to your future baby's health. There are multiple birth defects and disorders that do not show up on ultrasound or via blood tests, e.g. FAS. I think it would actually be to your benefit to be honest with how your pregnancy has been developing and the potential harm you've caused the baby, and not bury your head in the sand and lie to your followers.
@lexxbjorklund8 ай бұрын
Hi! While I do thank you for your concern, I'm going to trust my healthcare providers in this! The fact that I posted a few times about parties does not give you any information on if I consumed alcohol. If multiple doctors and multiple midwives, and all the tests have told me baby L is okay, I'll choose to believe it. Also, as stated in this video, we got pregnant the same week we started trying, and had every reason to believe it would take a long time to get pregnant, hence not taking tests right away. We did not try for months, like you claim. We tried for one week. While I appreciate the concern for baby's health, you really shouldn't speak without having all the facts :) Lexx
@GloriaEsteban95558 ай бұрын
It seems quite odd though to try to have a baby for just one week, stop, wait four months and then take a test. It would be interesting to know why you only tried precisely one week and didn't take any tests for four months? When I was trying I took pregnancy tests every week for months until I finally became pregnant. It is unfortunate that you choose to deny your drinking during the pregnancy. In your new years post on your blog it is quite clear that you did drink. You speak so much about mental health awareness and neurodivergency, but when it comes to the fact that baby L might have FAS/FASD when she's born (or something else), you say nothing. It's dissapointing, since I usually enjoy your content.
