Curious how frequently one should change an air filter in a dusty climate? One could assume the interval is decreased. I am a fan of vacuuming the filter housing as well.

Thank you for your comment 😊As per BMW agency here in dubai they change every 40k kms, I would say thats fine and as you said cleaning every 10k or even 20k midway would be a good practice. Specially that as you see it’s easy to take out and put back. All the best! 🤝

Hello, thanks for your question. it would be very expensive and impractical to do it every refuel, optimally it would be great to do it every 10,000 kms/6000 miles. I would also consider other factors than distance like fuel quality in your country, if its generally good then you may do it a bit less often (thats just my opinion, not bmw advice). I personally do it every 15-20k kms since fuel quality where I am is excellent. It costs 20 dollars for me and thats working well. Hope that helps your decision. 1:38 the most important thing i clicked on this video to figure out how to remove you dont show it. lol... the storage tray carpet thing. My clips dont just fall out like yours... how do you remove them?????????????

@green461 sorry I missed that part, but its quiet easy given u have the right tool, you need a prying tool to pull them out without using sharp screw driver that can scratch ur plastic, or a anything that can damage those plastic pins. Once u pry all of them out u can remove the plastic panel (the one where the hook for the lock is coming through), and the storage tray will then be free and u can remove it. my b38 is almost new with 15thousend km in cold start the injectors are ticking and it goes away when the engine warm up if i use this is possible to see any diffrence

Well its important to know that this kind of maintenance is not intended to provide a dramatic or tangible change in yhe performance, its rather long term preservation of your injectors and cleaning your fuel filter …etc so its unfair to expect it will add a few horsepowers to your car😊. But generally I felt a slight change in engine sound while idle, and maybe its only psychological but a bit better response during acceleration. Hope this answers your question😊🤝

@@8beatking it is impossible to repair an already functional engine. You would have to disassemble it a bit before and after to see if there is less carbon deposits. But this supplement has a lot of PEA, so it works.

Absolutely, but I I recommend to use the original BMW fuel additive only not any other type to make sure it is compatible with your engine. Also it’s usually not very expensive so getting the original one won’t break your wallet.

Great video, but not shown is reconnecting the venting port on the left side and plugging the vent on the right side.

Hi, thanks for your comment. I believe I added a reminder when dismantling the original one and when putting the new one to make sure to connect the venting tube on the left side, I am not sure which vent you referring to on the right side because there was nothing but the bracket to fix the battery. Can you clarify thank you

Thanks for the great content again. There is often a port on the other end of the battery. It doesn't look like anything special and super easy to miss. The manual for the battery will normally point out the port and if there's plug somewhere you can use included with the new battery.

Hi Matius, my car doesn’t have auxiliary battery, however if ur car comes with one, Its usually is next to the main one, or on the right side of the trunk behind a cover, along with the fuses. Hope this helps, let me know plz

In my f10 528i xdrive I had to replace and do registration of new AGM battery in engine controller, because BMW comfort module didn't sleeped other modules after 30s of switch off the engine. That was a reason that new battery was almost fully discharged after a night. I bought on aliexpress cheap chinese BMW OBD2 service interface and registered new battery via OBD2 slot. Comfort module started to sleeped all electronic modules and car systems after 30s from off the engine, as it should usually do before. And everything is fine with a new AGM battery up till now. Remember, You have to register new battery after change! Other vise your electric car systems and electric for instance electric cooling pump will not be sleeped and new battery will die very soon.

There is usually ones specific to hybrid cars, I suggest you double check with your local agency as using a wrong additive would cause serious damage to the injectors, you wanna play it safe

Very nice and detail video. I thought when you’re changing the battery on a BMW, you should be using a battery pack with a memory cord attached to the ODB port to maintain power to the CPU when you disconnect the battery. Please verify?

You also need to insert one ventilation hose to the right of the battery, opposide to the one that you inserted. Look at the min 8:15

@@burnablesnippets5431 Hi again, mate! You haven’t understood… It’s the battery who have 2 ventilation hose, not the car. The battery have one on the left , which you used it, and one on the right , which need to be closed in order to prevent from accumulation of gases. Look between 8:15 - 8:25

Nein, kein Mensch klemmt die Batterie ab um 2 Filter zu wechseln. Er sprach ja auch vom Airbagkabel. Ist falsch. Ist nur die Zuleitung für die Fussraumlampe.
