It’s huge drawback is that it only has a total of 10 voices , and all the voices are just piano voices that’s all, no other instrument voices are included! For a $20k+ digital piano, that’s just unacceptable!🤦🏻♂️

I tried to find the sheet music for Amazing Grace to match what I was learning in the course. It is not available; they arranged it for Flowkey only. So I am not able to play it without my computer unless I memorize the sheet music. Wish I would have known that before I purchased!!

Erm, yeah. I can play 3 blind mice. But only with one hand. That's my current sight reading ability. I'm using a drills app to learn other notes on the treble clef and will move onto the bass clef next. After that, going to use a rhythm drills apps. What would be the next step after this? I can play songs after listening a few times, I know where the notes are, but it's all done by ear. I spent 30 years completely ignoring sight reading and music theory.

Thanks for sharing ideas about playing duets with yourself, especially the tip about pedaling. I've had the N3X for a few years and love it but I haven't been using the Record function. I have a laptop hooked up with PianoTeq app for more piano sounds - I find it helps to play a piece I think I know well with a different sound as the change throws you off a little and the weak spots seem to jump out!

I haven’t read all of the comments, but I did watch a lot of videos on KZbin about music theory. I started learning all the chords and I started learning all of the inversions as well as scales. Then I purchased simply piano and it confused me because they immediately went first and second inversions of chords. As a beginning piano player, I found it’s important to learn the chords before you learn the inversions so you really understand what you’re doing. I have been using simply piano for about a month now as a beginning piano player, and I also noticed I started relying on fingers versus actual notes. I’m now nearing 60 years old and I played saxophone when I was younger so I kind of remembered the treble scale, but it didn’t seem like they concentrated much on actual site reading versus teaching you how to use your fingers with numbers. That threw me off as well. I think at this point I’m going to give up on simply piano and higher and instructor.

How is Simple Piano today as 2 years ago, does it still got the same style? What I need is a piano app that makes me addicted.

I loved it and paid 350€ for lifetime subscription but worst part is songs just vanish time to time and the good ones usually like Coldplay - Sky full of stars and the helpdesk is quite useless.

This is so incredibly helpful! I wonder why your chanell hasn't a million subscribers. I really apprecciate your work, to see your hands and the comments. And especially that the methods you are showing are useful for so many many other pieces, so one has not to play this special piece to get some benefit from it. Keep on, Mariya! Maybe you get more subscribers if using some hashtags like #PracticeTips or #PianoTutorial. Danke, liebe Mariya!

It's bad. No accompaniment... very poor presentation.... that is a keyboard does not a piano. Voice tone is built in... The style makes more introducing their ability.

Wow, it's really neat that you speed up the recording to be near performance tempo! That's a great way to make sure you're playing it well slowly, and that everything is still coming across

Best line in this video, “That’s Hard!” It is the best line, because lesser experienced people can see we are not alone in that and it is encouraging to see that it is just a matter of working and practice.

Your method is better for the health of the pianist, but that’s not the method they’re using. Again, understand that these guys are using what they’ve been taught as they learned and British or French methods are probably more common for these European and American companies. Now I will say your idea of bridging larger chords with the peddles is something I’ve never heard before and honestly it is kind of brilliant.
@p3rrypm3 ай бұрын
Uhh, that stretching is actually a technique taught in many programs, because they teach in a way that can cause tension in the fingers. The method you’re talking about with using arm weight is actually the Russian method and the the reason you don’t see the benefit, is because your method was designed in a way to avoid the tension and pain of some of the other approaches. Almost none of these apps use the Russian method and honestly, I don’t know that any actually do use it. I think the problem with your reviews are that you’re actually comparing a western approach to the Russian approach and assuming that their method of teaching is invalid. Grab an Alfred Adult Piano book and read it before you make more of these and you’ll understand the reasons behind these apps.

Oh the Simply Piano app purposely leaves off key techniques to slow down learning. Also, they did actually have all the finger numbers there until everyone started calling them out for that. Then their “Professionals” finally relented, but they refuse to add any real knowledge of intervals and their benefits. This is why Skoove will likely take their top music app spot before too long. What you should do is work with Piano Marvel to give the kids what they need as that is heavily invested in rhythm and theory.

Beautiful playing Mariya. I really liked the Scarlatti k 380 and the Rachmaninoff was, is, wonderful. I never tire of it. You really have the chops for it. I've played much of it for years but several sections still give me trouble. I think I need to resolve to take things in bite sized pieces slowly with written in fingerings. Lord, grant me the patience! :) Best to you Mariya for your continued success.

This app fucking sucks. It can never hear what I’m playing on the electric even though it’s going through a fucking amp. It always says I missed a note even when I played it clear as day
@lukos32113 ай бұрын
Yep The app is a tool that can be used for introduction to piano. Nothing can replace a teacher though to correct student posture amongts other things. For beginner as I am myself, using this app is just something that I use for starting. I use KZbin videos as well and practice outside of what the app teach. Planning to buy books and at one point I will surely pay for courses to correct all bad habits that I might develop by learning by myself instead of learning via the help of an actual teacher.
@lukos32113 ай бұрын
Use midi cable. The app through phone mic does not recognize what you play correctly. Also without midi cable when my dogs were barking the app was recognizing their barks as notes. So if you plan to use that app plan to have a midi cable from the piano to the phone.
