Nice review. You shoot with sony camera ? Is insertion/ extraction from camera shoe fluent ? ( godox v1s is not). Is ttl with a a7r5 ok for exposure ( godox is not, burning objects or face)

I'm so torn between this camera and simply a instax portable printer for my phone photos. I haven't used an instant camera before, so I'm not sure whether the added cost for a net lower quality digital photo is worth it. It feels most efficient to just have a portable printer that I leave behind and print photos when I want instead of carrying a whole additional camera with me I don't know whether I'll make use of the camera filters and effects, though, some look pretty neat. And this camera does double as a portable printer if I do end up not wanting to use the camera or bring it with me. Thoughts?

This is what we like to see. Dig vs. Film. Portra vs. Gold. 35mm vs. 120mm, quality glass vs. Poor glass, high ISO vs. Low ISO, etc...We let you do the work and we get to compare results. Thanks, good job.

I have the Sigma 28-70 F2.8 and was thinking of getting the Sigma 16-28 to complete a travel combo. But the Sony 16-35PZ + 85mm F1.8 might also be a very interesting travel combo - where the PZ can handle 85% of the work, and the 85mm could come in only for tele-photo portraits and some low light work. Still torn on which would be the better 2 lens travel combo.

You have to buy the dedicated photopaper for it. How it works is there are layers of dye on the paper. And the printer uses heat to melt the layers of dye to mix the colors and create the picture.

Sonys artificial limits are really annoying here, they really fear that the way cheaper lenses can compete with their expensive ones. But who owns an A1 or A9 anyways, way too expensive. If you can afford that you can also afford the Sony lenses 😂

Is this lens suitable for photographing sports competitions inside sports halls? Sports like basketball, weightlifting, etc.

The lens is quite long, and sports halls often don't allow the distance needed to use such a telephoto zoom effectively. With a maximum aperture of f/5-6.3, it's not as fast as other lenses that offer f/2.8 or wider, which can be crucial for indoor sports where lighting conditions are typically dimmer. It's a large and heavy lens, which might not be practical for the fast-paced and confined space of an indoor sports event. For indoor sports, a lens with a wider aperture (like f/2.8 or larger) and a shorter focal length is usually preferred to allow more light and to provide the flexibility needed for fast action in close quarters.

1) the kids mission camera went nowhere. That never saw the light of day. 2) the little action camera thing was a piece of junk (took terrible pictures) and flopped hard. Seems it was discontinued after one year. 3) this is the only product that seems to have gained any traction. It finally came out in 2023. But its rather pricey.

I bought this today, great camera and I love the vintage look. The only disappointment though is that I can’t upload the photos to my phone without printing them. I feel like that’s not very handy and will cost a lot of money. I expected to have the option of printing OR being able to transfer them digitally though Bluetooth.
