How do you capture the whole body if it is not in the video, since motion is 360? Is that where you would have to do your own clean up?

It only capture the portion of the body in the video. For body parts outside the video it will use place holder poses or inference.

You can try our integrated avatar creators, ReadyPlayerMe and Avaturn, to see if you can create an avatar with the customized outfit your like. Or you can import a custom character following our customer character guidelines: www.deepmotion.com/article/custom-characters

The deepmotion capture system is great, but the retargeting system is very difficult and archaic.

We just released an updated Animate 3D v5.1.1 that supports UE 5.4 automatic retargeting. If you choose the Male (UE) or Female (UE) default character models to create and export your animations from Animate 3D the result FBX animations can be automatically imported into UE 5.4 and retarget to other UE characters with UE 5.4's auto-retargeting option turned on. Please give it a try and let us know how it works.
