Great video! My club's Puchacz (that we just sold I believe, sad) wasn't allowed to be taken for cross country flights because we had no trailer, but I wouldn't want to anyways with its glide ratio! It's amazing that you went for such a large triangle in it! I prefer to take ours up for aerobatics;)

If course they can make it 😂 if they input the standing water correctly then it should be fine. We operate like this very normally in Florida. The big trick is the grooved runways to make it easier to deal with the heavy rain. What you just can't get around is the downdrafts on approach or departure. What are you flying? Looks like 737 wipers 😂 I hope I got that wrong lol

@@Voyteck Film jest fajny, tylko słowa do muzyki. Wiele naszych widzę na emigracji klnących jak szewcy na ulicy zupełnie bez potrzeby. Co drugie słowo to k... albo hu... Chyba dlatego że myśla że inni ludzie obok nich nie rozumieją. Wiem że w Polsce tego na ulicach nie ma. Wydaje mi się że zachowanie tego typu jest nie godne Polaka. A na pewno nie sportu jakim jest szybownictwo.

Its a glider, so no engine. My first guess would be an ASW20 (20m, with flaps) or ASW19 (15m wingspan). I think he is working the flaps most of the time. With the left hand we usually operate trim, flaps and airbreaks/spoilers. You can see the spoilers at 10:00 .

The problem is that you can't use the judgement bag until you've got something in the experience bag, and until the experience bag is filled - you will be taking from the luck bag every time you make a decision (judgement) that is based on zero experience. That S100 needs it's compensation turned up. You're getting a lot of stick push-pull indications. When you pitch up to stall it, it shows climbing air, and when you stalled it showed descending air. Turn the compensation up. That looked like a really fun flight man. I'm jealous of the flying you guys do.

That's true, but it was done with some random lifts and sinks from wave, so it's hard to tell what exactly cause it. I guess the only option to set correct compensation is to tow myself early in the morning when air is calm. Thank you for your comment!

@@Voyteck I think you'll find a few more percent on the compensation will make for a very nice experience. Is it setup for HAWK as well? My ideal compensation was not exactly 100% either. I believe I ended up needing to set it to 97%. No push-pull indications at all now, which is very helpful obviously.

@@TheSoaringChannel Surely if you have to set it to anything less than 100% TE (i.e. more than 0 electronic) to make it work properly, that means the TE system has a leak or crimp somewhere, and should be fixed?

I think You did everything OK except that slow low altitude turn with the Puchacz. We have one and even a corrected incipient spinn will lose a fair bit of altitude. But it is fun to spin it at proper altitude... Plenty of good fields, I agree on not landing so close to the edge or road where hidden obstacles are more likely. We had a student pilot outlanding ours in tall grass a few weeks ago. Saw the landing from above, ending in a ground loop. No damage after inspection, well built Polish glider...

Very nice and well planned outlanding! You kept Your cool and had several 360:s to check the field and alternatives at plenty of altitude. Easy recovery as well as it looked. Where I fly in nortern Sweden outlanding fields are pretty scarce and small, all the more important to make a decision high enough. One thing that came to my mind watching this. I have done some hot air ballooning in Austrian alps and know that the valley bottoms usually are infested with power lines when You have to land. I think Your choice was good in that respect as well, no visible poles on final. If the field is narrow or obscured it is next to impossible to se the actual lines, they are often green as well. We recently had an outlanding safety seminar here where this was discussed. A good mindset is to figure out where there they can not be. I was once very close to hitting a 10 000V line when landing into a small field obscured by some trees. The line was green copper and impossible to see until the very last moment. Rather scary.

Someone has put a pole right in the middle of the field after the trees. @2:23 it comes into view to the right. When viewed at the end with the selfiestick it doesn´t look so close anymore. Then i thought "Koniec pola" means "Attention Pole", but it´s "End of Field" ;)

Ostatnia opcja brzmi kusząco. A tak na serio, to szybowce są demontowalne. Wtedy, po kilku. godzinach był po mnie kolega z przyczepą, do której zapakowaliśmy ptaszka. Tego samego dnia byłem z powrotem w aeroklubie gdzie odbywały się zawody.

Dobra, dam ci rade. Na 100% obrabiasz film, wiec daj sobie format w 1440p, to ci z automatu zostanie przyznany kodek VP09, a nie avc1 jak masz teraz. Podniesie ci to jakosc video.
