EMERGENCY BRAKE is for fire or mechanical issues not medical emergency as it will take longer to get off the train when pulled. Need to get off the next stop like the other guy was telling him to do, the other rider was 100% right to tell him not to pull the brake.

Whats wrong with you people? In no scenario in my life has a delay caused by a person in distress made me sink so low as to ridicule a man with either a severe medical issue or mental illness. Ridiculous behaviour. The world needs to grow up. You don’t confront someone who asks for help, you see what the problem is, and solve it or find someone who can.
@DanteJayce20 күн бұрын
You obviously are a compassionate person and that's a good thing. However, here is some context you may not know. There was nothing wrong with the person who pulled the brake. The "help" he needed was that he missed his stop, and thought that by pulling the brake the train would open the doors again and let him out. Instead, it stayed still with locked doors for over half an hour at the stop. Hundreds of people on that train were inconvenienced by this man's actions, and other trains were all now rerouted because of it as well. When confronted, he made up his fake excuse of anaphylactic shock. When the doors did open, he happily trotted away, refusing all help (because he didn't actually need any). And now everybody else on the train was severely delayed getting home after a long day of work because of this man's actions. To me, the way the brake system is implemented is to blame as much as a person like this, because he's able to abuse and take advantage of it, and is not held accountable for his actions.
@uddin165924 күн бұрын
One time I was riding the train and the guy actually did go into anaphylactic shock. And someone suggested to pull the emergency brake, everyone immediately screamed NO. He was able to get medical attention at the next stop, instead of having to be stuck in the tunnel. Never ever pull the emergency brake!

What’s the first thing the MTA tells it’s customer’s NOT to do if their experience a medical issue, do not stop the train. EMT’s can’t get to you while your stopped between stations
@DanteJayceАй бұрын
Technically we were still at the station before the train pulled completely away, so they could have gotten to him... but then again he didn't have a legit medical issue either. He actually ran away and escaped as soon as they opened the doors.

I feel for people who have legitimate medical concerns, but this guy had forgotten to get off at his stop and pulled the brake thinking they would open the doors for him. I doubt there was actually anything medically affecting him.

When someone pulls the emergency brake the train stops and they keep the doors locked since they don't know if it's an actual emergency or what to do. This is only a small edited video of the situation btw, we really stayed stuck there for over half an hour!

@@calicoboy_ It's not weird at all, I upload these clips so people can enjoy them at any time! My biggest tip is to find what part of the character is similar to yourself/your type and lean into it. A lot of actors emphasize the goofy aspects of Orin, and that's fine, but the more frightening aspects of the character were what intrigued me and I tried to manifest. And it paid off! The original Seymour, Lee Wilkof, came to see one of the performances and told me I was "the scariest dentist ever," which to me was a huge compliment! Break legs on your audition and keep me posted on how it turns out!

the emergency brake should be not easily reachable among commuters
@DanteJayce3 ай бұрын
I actually disagree; it would be dangerous to not have it be easily accessible in the case of actual emergencies. But the consequences of pulling it in the case of a non-emergency (like this) should be much more severe.
