I remember that night. I was on my back patio playing hockey, and there was an inch of ice on the patio. I was in the middle of retrieving a puck I had swept into the nearly foot of snow in my yard, and slipped on another puck nearby. As I met the ground, the sky got bright, and I got the absolute hell startled out of me from the sonic boom that followed.

thanks to the two videos I finally fixed the shutter to my S1 IS but unfortunately the outer shell seems to be stuck. I tried to rotating in several times as well as double checked the inner components to make sure they're straight and in their place tho the out shell won't rotate. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated at this moment.
@AlsAutoandApplianceАй бұрын
On the inner lens (the one with the ball and spring that shoots out) there is the leg that feeds into the barrel (see 38:50 mark). Near the end of the leg is the gray/silver colored guide pin that can partially pull out from it's normal position. If that happens, it can cause the hang you are getting. That's where I would start. Let me know if you make any progress.

@AlsAutoandAppliance19 күн бұрын
@@superneutral4513 I just realized you are working on an S1 IS. That model is a little different than the S2, S3, and S5. Those units suffer from CCD failure and rarely shutter problems. I have only taken one S1 apart and that was a very long time ago. I don’t have any parts to reference either otherwise I could help you better. I assume you’ve taken it back apart?

Hi, I have a problem with the brush as well but not this one. Mine is that the square part is getting rounded and doesn't engage in the transmission (the white part inside), I'm also afraid that the transmission is rounded too. Any suggestion?
@AlsAutoandApplianceАй бұрын
A common issue on these is the square in the gear does get rounded out. The fix for this is to replace the gear (and possibly the brush) or purchase a new motor assembly from eufy (about 20 USD). If you go to thingiverse.com and search 11s Gear (or whichever model you have) you will find printable models to print a replacement gear if you wanted to try that route first.
@susu-y1s5rАй бұрын
will this help solve E18?
@AlsAutoandApplianceАй бұрын
It's possible. There can be debris in the gears causing the lens unit to jam. You would need to clean the geared parts once it is disassembled. This can also be a faulty motor. If the motor is bad, there are no replacements available. You would have to get one from another unit. The motor is the same for the S1, S2, S3 and S5.

Thanks for the video. I'm no stranger to crawling around under a dash (past life as a stereo installer). My daughter's Flex is in need of this repair. After watching the degree of difficulty the white vent tube(?) caused I'll be looking into cutting it to get it out of the way. Looks like a PVC coupler and the appropriate tape to seal it up could make it easier.

I believe that is the sample tube for monitoring cabin temperature. I guess cutting then re-taping would probably be ok and definitely helpful! Let us know how it goes.

Thanks for the video. I think it is a crime against the environment to use a relay with only 100k cycles for the pump. Each wash uses the relay many times. In just a few years, you reach the lifespan. I cut a hole in the black plastic back to unsolder. Used a 4 long wires so I can use a generic relay (12V DC/120V AC, normally open). Easy to replace next time if worn out. In hindsight, I could have cut the bad relay open carefully to reveal the four connectors without opening the back side.
@AlsAutoandApplianceАй бұрын
That’s a great solution for extending the life of the board! I ran mine the same way until I received the "correct" relay. In hindsight, I would have soldered a socket in place to make it super easy the next time.

All the components I selected are designed to run off of 12 volts DC except the twinkling LEDs, which I used a resistor to limit the current. I don't remember the value I used, but that will be dependent on how many LEDs you wind up using. So, basically, everything is wired directly to the 12 v battery pack. Hope this helps.

I bought a new set and I still have the old washer and my not draining issue of water lines, pump have lead me to the PCB. So This is my last stand to figure this out so we don't drop more metal into the landfill. The washer is like new, otherwise, but won't drain. Thanks for making this, going to watch it now and hopefully it's a relay or something failing to send 120V to the motor (new motor and it's perfect) and tested no power to motor during drain cycle.

@@AlsAutoandAppliance Thank you. I am going to unplug the board cables tomorrow and get it away from the washing machine. hopefully, I can figure out what relay it is. my PCB is different than yours. I'll look in my docs or on the board for a part number. if drawing this in your head looking at it from the front of the washer the PCB is top right in the back. The relays are on the bottom right, there are 8 of them. the cooling vents are in the middle top. If you think the best method is to remove the board, and figure out which one of the 8 is the relay to the pump, I can replace that one and hope it's the end of this rabbit hole.
@AlsAutoandAppliance4 ай бұрын
@@ToddEdmondson most machines have the schematic in a pouch on the back of the machine. Otherwise comment your model number and I’ll see if I can find the drawing. Otherwise you can try to trace the wiring to figure out which relay is the correct one.
