Das Lieblingsstück meines in diesem Monat vor 120 Jahren geborenen Vaters. Er hatte es bei den Musiktagen in Hitzacker zum ersten Mal gehört. Es wurde anlässlich der Trauerfeier zu seinem Tod gespielt.

the soloist has a WONDERFUL tone. For my sins i was a professional string player myself for about 25 years though in my case on the double bass and i have performed this piece in concert a few times
