I am loving this whole project, I am also building a suborbital launch vehicle that uses kegs along with a smaller landing test vehicle using fire exstinguishers

what if you just pressurised the tank by filling it with high pressure gas?

Why the oxidiser is not a high test peroxide 60%. Liquid oxygen is also dangerous, 304 stainless steel with peroxide is compatible.

about the empty space for blowdown mode, its actually the exact same principle as for water rockets, around 33% is the most optimal amount of water compared to air, more water and it will lose thrust fast, less water and it will run out of water sooner without as much deltaV gotten, I am extremly happy of doing water rockets as a kid and knowing that from it

Thank you for the tutorial (This is a joke… maybe. But I’m nearly done my aerospace (astronautics focused) degree and have partaken in a fair bit of crackhead engineering myself)

I forgot but are you passing the lox line through the fuel tank? If not how do you plan on routing lox?

I thought I'd seen it all when someone built a fighting robot, "Weeliwacko", from a keg. This one-ups the keg-themed nerdiness .

If you ever make a keg rocket V2, you should put the engine on a gimbal so you can control it 🍻🚀

This isn't going to have active aerodynamic surfaces is it? I know a lot of large hobby rockets don't because it changes it's classification and makes it much harder to legally launch. That's why so many are spin-stabilized. If it does have active pitch/yaw/roll control, that can put a lot of torsion on the whole airframe as well. It will be interesting to see the shrouds that cover the (non-keg) parts of the airframe.

Nice! Thank you! As I happen to be thinking about if this could strap on a xxl rc jet, ala shuttle, and woe there you flashed one... can one be strapped on and released at will?

Why are you trying to fit things into a 15 minute video? This is interesting and complex stuff it needs time…
