Wait to correct. His writing is brilliant. His phrasing his language time and space is shape shifted with grace even magic. But who cares? I simply didn’t care about the characters - their distance from themselves and their from each other.

there is nothing special or magical about any of that? she didn’t feel traumatized, but continuing this idea that the sexualizing of a minor in any kind of film was smart and such a wonderful experience for her is only showing the press that she really never understood the big picture. The idea for the movie was bad, really bad at that. And she was apart of that.

The story in this film, sadly, happened to girls throughout history. I'm sure there are places it still happens. And it really was/is a male dominated world where it can happen.

Yes and it happens to boys aswell. This movie has a scene where one of the boys Brooke's character knows indicates that "the ladies dont charge him" While it's not a main focus of the film young boys growing up around brothels were also exposed to exploitation.

Surely, humanity can come up with a solution to the mass-murdering tornado problem. WTF have the meta-materials science dept been doing all these years? Still no cement or similar material that can flex with pressure, so they can build basements in Tornado Alley and FIX THE DAMN POTHOLES, FOR GOOD! The same tech would be used here.

“Not proud of it” It’s funny we praise her for all the greatness she is but don’t hear the humanity in her often validated. I hear her but i’m sad she’s not proud. She should be. She is a great example of someone who works very hard and loves herself in healthy ways. This society is too cruel to her. Hanoi Jane should have never been an issue because it was literally fake news and her plastic surgery shouldn’t be an issue either. It’s funny how these things shape her life in such a traumatic way when all she set out to do was good. Good with her life, good with her health and good for others. People mock me when I say I admire her but I truly do. I’m not a fan of anyone, I think it’s unhinged and unhealthy but what Jane does really makes me reconsider because she literally has done so much political work and now global work for climate change she’s a true person worth admiring. And this advice here is golden.

Klara used metaphor of people changing like shop display not to be taken too seriously because that's from her life experience. Klara and sun as metamodern, looking for beyond Klara as parental love? Interesting, maybe that's why she bonds with the mum. A parent is doomed to be obscolent, to be discarded. Retirement years with her memory in her spot. Ooo Melania warning Klara not to leave Josie with painter. Another hint Josie becomes robot. What makes us special is our relationships and how other people relate to us. She is human because she dies and has hope. We loved her and she loved us but now WD have to give her away (that's why junkyard, as a graveyard, you wouldn't keep a dead body). Her sacrifice is dramatised as human. Give until nothing left. Beautiful and transcendent. Klara satisfied and giving usefulness to Josie - a job well done. Memories immortalised, she lives on and Klara lives on with her memories. Klara no family, so alone once discarded perhaps. To do with utility, a mistake?

This vets reaction is no surprise. I grew up living directly across from the VA. Lots of Vietnam vets came into our lives, and formed their own support groups at our church next door. I was a young adult, but I talked to many of these men trying to heal. They felt deeply betrayed by our government, for being drafted into a war that the US started and lied about (Gulf of Tonkin incident) and where they were then ordered to do terrible, unspeakable things to innocent people. Many of them saw their friends die. A small, but significant portion of them actually supported Jane Fonda's view. A much greater number of them actively joined Vietnam Veterans Against the War, and were inspired by those with the courage to speak out against the US Gov and the war. All of them felt that the fault lied with the US imperial ambitions, which killed millions of innocent people, and they regretted being forced to be a part of it. The war was a huge mistake and a terrible ordeal for the US vets and the Vietnamese people. Those who actively called it wrong at the time, however imperfectly, were ultimately correct.

I'm new to this chanel and i've found this conversation interesting and pleasant to listen. It's especially precious to hear from a Christian author. I watch a lot of book vlogs from the UK, Poland and the USA and unfortunately i see moving away from Christian values and God, as unpopular subjects that can only be spoken negatively about... I must add that Diane looks beautiful and is great on camera. I enjoyed this video. Thank you for this conversation.

This conversation is so disturbing to say the least. I understand the realities of the world and this is a story that someone thought should be told but gosh let’s not glamorize a child actress having to role play it. It shouldn’t have been allowed in the first place. This should’ve been criminalized. Not being over dramatic. Someone should’ve protected her and a whole lot of people should’ve known better. Insult intended. For all the exploited and abused children of the world, I’m sorry some adults are monsters, take peace in knowing that God exists and they will have to answer for their crimes against you.
