No doubt. The king of definition on her hair. But my guess is the focus is a tad behind her face bc her skin here is so strange. And much better on her chest & shoulders.

The hair has less definition, but there’s more life compared to the overly plasticky feel of the ZEISS Supreme 35mm T1.5. @T 2.0 Perhaps focus is a bit closer here. Or this ARRI lens has less DOF.

This is superior to the Zeiss Supreme 35 mm @ T4.0. The Zeiss has a theatrical spirit or patina, like candle lights added, when the Nikon seems to take live as it is : no mask. What do you guys think? The Zeiss wide open is, that said, less crazy and way more versatile and neutral.

Yep, byebye Nikkor 55 1.2. Wide open the 58mm his clearely another league. But don't you mess up with ur make up. Everything is now visible.

This is where the production starts to understand something. Don't ask them more, like T 1.5 with this 1970 lens design. Just tell them : Hey, it's my own $ 350 lens. No more $200 daily renting, are you happy ? Plus no Zeiss like yellowish skin ! Don't you never tell them you own your lens, or they'll get so suspiscious. They don't even know who Stanley Kubrick is.

Playing T 2.8 with a speed booster... hey that's stil a T 2.0 lens on S 35mm... Not that bad given the retail price & Atomic flavor.

Green coatings, AI-S family. Some early pre- AI, N series like 35mm 1.4 N, Thorium, may have this greenish thint as well, but further NC with Thorium will be purple.

Damn! This might be the perfect 75mm anamorphic lens to have zero distortion (No bellowing in or out, and no streaking flares!) Crazy how the 50mm and 35mm are worse for distortion bellowing inwards...

02:17 interesting halo effect on the outer flaring. Not sure if I like it for a full feature film, definitely a style. Could be distracting over important images.

Zeiss is awful at distortion correction, the bellowing (edges rounding IN) in looks so bad. Thanks for the test!

Gorgeous lens. Much better handling of distortion than the Hawk V-Lite (awful). Breathing is bad, but useable. Thanks!

So I bought a c200 second hand. Came with the all original handle and video mount but no screw to attach the video and mic mount to the holder. My question would be, does anyone know what scre I need? Having a hard time finding the correct one. Any help would be so very much appreciated.
