Hi, good questions! 1. For cable car, it's actually pretty fast. It's always moving but average dalam 15 - 20 minutes if you dah dalam the tent area. About 20 - 30 minutes if you kena beratur sampai luar tent. 2. Yes, setiap kali naik kena beratur balik. Dia laju je bergerak sebab satu cable car boleh duduk 4 orang. Kalau dia stop sebab hujan je jadi lama menunggu. 3.Boleh beli ticket at anytime before pergi TAPI kena make sure tickets are still available for the time slot you have chosen. Kalau you beli 4:00PM, you can still go around 3:30PM until 4:30PM for your first ride (jangan lambat sangat pula). Then you have around 3 hours to finish up the rest of your rides. Eg: Beli ticket for 4:00PM, main sampai 7:00PM. Hope that helps!

Hi, I used to run it pretty soft for daily and the stiffest I can get while making sure the car handles how I want it to be on track days. Now I run it somewhat stiff for daily driving and touge runs. Note: Stiffest on track but does NOT mean I turn it all the way clockwise to stiffen it. You have to fine tune it to find the sweet spot because too stiff will not help you on turn-ins and it will definitely punish you for riding the curbs later on.

@@kristropheralejandro2772 It definitely takes time to find something that suits your driving. Some people got them but can't utilize what those suspensions are capable of (cause they really are a good set in my experience). Good luck with it. I remember tuning the front and rear dampers every week and taking it up Genting every week back when Covid hit just to get it closer to what I like. Ride height plays a huge factor as well.

This is EXACTLY what some people need to understand about the RX-8. It is still a 20+ year old technology (assuming it was under R&D way before production in 2003) and I think that itself is pretty impressive how a healthy RX-8 is still pretty competitive in many forms but especially through the bends. Could use a bit more power on the straights but being able to put my foot down through turns and control a few happy tail outs will definitely reduce the gap (or even create some) when driving with others. Ideally, I’d love to turbocharge it but there are quite a lot of things to be done to make the 13B-MSP reliable enough to withstand that.

@@MeorHariz two groups - the appreciating - the "maintenance is expensive" But these forget that the car itself is a huge car guy status as it requires a lot of attention and caring, somehow it's maybe even worse than having triplets to care for, but if someone has can afford the money and time, the car is more than worth keeping alive. - if I had a chance to get one again and money and time for it, I'd definitely pick it over any other car. Unfortunately I had to sell it because it was a money hole for me

I started with 10w-30 mineral oil, went to 10w-40 fully synthetic and now I’m back to 10w-30 but premium mineral oil. Still haven’t decided what is the best for me. Having a rating of 60 viscosity is new to me cause none of my cars ever required something that high. How’s that doing for your RX-8?

Hi @resurgi, you came to the right place! In case you haven't checked, I post vlogs about my ownership experience with the RX-8 on my channel as well as some updates on my other social media platforms. It's been close to 2 years since I purchased this car but my love for the RX-8 and rotary engine is about 19 years at this point. Growing up, I was not much of a car person but I absolutely loved the rotary engines (and still do)! I did a lot of studying since my primary school days about the car before I even thought of buying one. My brutally honest question is DO NOT get a Mazda RX-8 as your first car. DO NOT get the Mazda RX-8 as your "only car" in the later future too. What I mean by this is that - you should have a primary car and keep the RX-8 as a secondary or weekend car (if you wish to have one). Yes, there are people who daily drives it but it's not exactly financially wise decision (unless you earn a lot and can afford it). It is an old car that is getting older and there will be many wear and tear parts that needs to be replaced. On top of that, it is a rotary engine so depending on the mileage - you might need to go for an engine rebuild or an engine replacement in the future. Back then I was into racing and driving but had no mechanical skills. I started learning things on my own and was able to do some repair work on my Perodua Myvi - which then helped me a lot in fixing some of the issues I had with my RX-8. Saved me a lot of $$$ from visiting the workshops for every issue. In conclusion, study about the car and the rotary engine, learn about what it takes to maintain one, watch out for problems and issues before even buying one and start developing some mechanical skills. If you want to own one, you're going to need to set aside at least RM20k for an engine rebuild / swap when the time comes. Regular service will be about RM300 - RM500 on average so roughly a bit more than a thousand a year (not including buying parts or any repair work done to the car). Petrol is about RM180 for a full tank of RON97 that can go about 350km - 450km depending on how you drive. I have spent a lot on my first year of ownership to fix the car to where it is today and much less throughout my second year of ownership. It's a car that rewards you when you take care of it. As you go, you will discover that it is all worth it but only if you truly love it.

2 things to always check on is the engine oil level (will reduce over time) and coolant level (should not decrease, generally). When it comes to the RX-8, you got to take preventative measures before any problems start to happen. Upgrade parts that contribute to improving its reliability - especially if you live in a hot climate. Once there is a problem, get it checked or fixed it immediately. Don’t drive it around and tell yourself you’ll get to it over the weekend or when you get paid. If there’s an issue, store the car until you’re ready to work on it. At least to prevent from any major catastrophe.

@@ha-kyaa7815Congratulations on furthering your studies! Don’t worry too much about transportation when you don’t need them. Less is more (cause you literally don’t have to pay for parking, petrol, toll and so on). When you do plan to get your first car though, it’s totally fine to get a used car but getting a brand new car with better reliability and some warranty to cover it is a much safer path in my opinion. Save the project cars for when you’ve graduated at least!

I probably didn't mention it in this video (but I've told people in person about it) and in case it wasn't clear - the car was made in 2007 and imported from Japan to Malaysia back in 2010. The car was about 2-3 years old when it was imported. I'm the 3rd owner of the car here in Malaysia back when it only had 50k on the clock.

I did it close to 4 years at this point. No idea what it actually is - but I’m sure I mentioned about it in some of my track day videos.

Hope you get to own one some day! Do plenty of research, have a lot of patience and standby a huge chunk of cash to fix it up. If you see it for what it is (a sporty car that handles really well with decent speed for an NA but not too crazy) - you will 100% love it.

@@loganschannel1 The speculation is the very early batch so anywhere between 2003 - 2005. They said the later batch of the Series 1 had this issue somewhat fixed. The Series 2 (2007 - 2012) had this issue fixed properly due to how the engine was updated. But for modding, people often opt for the S1.

@@MeorHariz How about overhauling or rebuilding of the engine like? Can it be done locally?

@@berkeliumk Yes, there are a couple of rotary engine rebuild experts here in Malaysia. Most of them will only rebuild if your compression is low but still drivable. In the instance the engine is totally gone, they will suggest a swap rather than replacing parts of the original engine.

Yes, it definitely is. You can probably do a quick 90 degree turn but linking a transition from right to left has about 90% chance of failing (at least for me). I know people will say older cars can do it without a power steering just fine but it’s just a terrible experience to slide this car with no EPS. Having them does not make you less of a man. 😂

Stock temp gauge memang tak accurate sebab dia mula bergerak selepas dah hit threshold. Waktu ni saya check guna third party app di phone sahaja tapi ada masalah connection (kadang detect, kadang tidak). Ideally untuk dapatkan aftermarket gauge. Buat masa ni, saya saving untuk upgrade cooling system dulu baru beli gauge. Bukan apa, kalau sekadar boleh monitor tapi problem temperature naik masih ada - tak berapa beneficial juga kan?

Definitely! Being able to rev higher and shift later definitely does have some ups to it too. I love the look of the person driving in another car when he’s shifting into 3rd and I’m still pulling in 2nd. 😂
