Testing Out Our New Upgrades At The Malaysian Touge

P.S - The purpose of this video is not to race nor showcase our speed and driving. We were simply trying to test, break-in and fine tune our cars.
A couple of friends and I went to hit our local touge route to test out the new upgrades we got for our car in preparation for an upcoming track time attack event. On top of that, I was trying to break-in a couple of new parts to get them ready to hit the track (2 days after this video was recorded).
Slightly lengthy video with a bit of montage here and there but the main purpose was for us to test out how our car handles and think of ways to make it better - be it by getting more new parts or tweaking it to our preference.

Extra information: I had to cut out clips from my Karak run to reduce the length of this video. I made great discoveries on my run on the night this video was recorded and it helped me a lot in tweaking some stuff in preparation for my track day at Sepang. I think the front splitter will work on smooth surface, like Sepang.

And it definitely did! The most prominent difference was felt at Karak and Sepang’s straight line. Unfortunately it was raining heavily so I couldn’t fully utilize the splitter through the turns in Sepang but there was a huge difference on the straightaways - especially after adjusting the suspension to stop my car from bottoming-out from all that downforce. It’s a good upgrade but it’s not a “Set it and forget it” kind of mod, you gotta take a few extra steps to make sure the splitter is performing as it should. Thanks for watching!

@@adibz959 It did on Karak and happened a few more times through the turns of Ulu Yam. Tweaked the suspension in time for the track day and it didn’t happen on Sepang (though it was raining so I probably didn’t go as hard through the turns). Kinda goes to show that a stiff or at least firm dampening system is required to run a splitter like mine. Anything bigger than this will definitely require an even stiffer suspension!

Hi there, I’m using F Tuned GT Series with 4k spring rate on the front and rear. My tire pressures vary depending on the ambient temperature and road condition so there’s that. Thank you for watching!

ko punye 16 ke 15 meor dulu pernah pakai..tp tak sampai 7bulan dah separuh bunga habis..las las pakai potenza dari 003 sampai 004

15" je Ijat. AD08R dulu pakai di track sahaja, dalam 50 laps di Sepang dan 10 laps di MIMC. Pakai pun ulang-alik ke kedai alignment before track day dan trip pergi dan balik dari track. AD09 ni pun sama juga, test dekat touge 1 kali dan Sepang sahaja. After track day terus tukar ke RE004 balik. RE004 performance lebih kurang AD08R cuma hujan lagi licin dari AD08R. AD09 ni a whole new level, hujan pun lagi grip dari RE004 dan AD08R. Next video review AD09 all-out dalam hujan!

I thought that brakes can only fade if they overheat. But how do they fade when it is cold?

Good question! Most brake pads have an operating temperature of 0 celcius to X celcius. I’m running carbon ceramic, racing pads. These pads operate the best at higher temperature. In this case, I need to get them to around 80C’ to get the best biting force (and they also have a higher “boiling” point than most pads in the market).

Not even slightly correct 🤦‍♂️ What pads exactly are you running that are carbon ceramic? Fade happens when something falls away from it's peak operation. Not when it never reached it in the first place. Not reaching operating temperature =/= brake fade.

@@RBGgermanKX250F Thank you for taking your time to comment on this fairly outdated video. The pads in question above are CeraMax Carbon Ceramic brake pads - not that it really matters here. As mentioned above, the brake pads were not able to get up to optimal operating temperature hence not giving me sufficient biting force to slow down the car. Essentially, it's just a wrong-choice-of-words-to-describe-something but the feeling of the car reluctant to slowing down was more or less similar to brake fade.
