Yes, avionics spool up/spool down sounds are WIP and are not included in this video. The engine sounds still can be heard in the real aircraft, but only barely when the engines spool up while on the ground, what we are trying to replicate. A bit louder in our soundpack truth to be told, to cover all simmers needs. We are also considering including a very quiet version of the engines in the same package. It will double the size of the package though.

@@ImmersiveAudio Looking forward to this in FS2024! FWIW, it almost works perfectly as is, but the shutdown sound in particular instantly cuts off instead of gradually as in FS2020. Either way, will happily pay for the FS2024 upgrade.

We will do our best to enhance that part of the soundpack. That slight ducking of the audio doesn't happen every time, and it depends on N1. If you follow the procedures properly and wait for N1 to stabilize for few minutes, there shouldn't be any audible gap. Check 9:13 and you will hear that the transition is seamless.

@@ImmersiveAudio No, that doesn't work for me. I've now repeated the exact same procedure as at 9:13 five times. I can also record it on video and send it to you.

@@ImmersiveAudio New day, new luck, the problem was behind the control stick. After looking closely, I saw that they had turned off the "Avionics" and "NAV Light" switches. I had accidentally switched off the generator switch. This is how the faulty sound came about. As always, small cause, big effect 🙄😬

So, all ok now?

We kinda enjoyed flying with Cowansim R66 during testing. And yes, we also fly R22 in AFS4 and XP12, and couple of others in XP11.

Yes, seating position is outside of the cockpit a bit when switched to VR. The soundpack will be updated for both CowanSim R66 and default R66 in MSFS 2024.

We found some errors during the final tests, so we were fixing them during the weekend. You'll agreee it's better to release it fixed, few days later, than patching it post-release. :-) So, I suppose it will be released from Oct 15th to 17th timeframe. When you see us uploading OSD (Official Sounds Demonstration) video, you know it will be released within 24hrs. Thank you for your continuous interest!

Thank you! We can tell for sure that it really transforms the R66, it feels now like a "study" level. The amount of audio details we put into this soundpack, makes you feel like flying more complex addon. I personally enjoyed flying R66 lately with our sounds, a lot, especially in VR. Last night (one of the final tests) I was exploring some amazing wilderness west of Klamath falls with the heli, 2 hours passed so fast.

Truth to be told, many addon aircraft could definitely use the properly upgraded sound. It's a endless dance of few variables before we decide what aircraft is our next target. For what aircraft addon we have the opportunity to record the sounds (me, or my partners), how popular that aircraft addons is (I won't spend months working on a soundpack that will sell few copies), and finally strictly one person is working on the soundpacks (me), and I need a lot of time as I tend to be perfectionist with many audio details.

Early October. Probably in the next 5 days if everything goes as planned.
