So I know this is an old video, but I just came out of extended warranty and started servicing this truck myself. I've had two 7.3 one 6.0 and now this 2017 6.7 I just wanted to point out that the pump primes until it sees back pressure or the 30sec timer expires. I had to let the timer expire 3 times before the pressure switch made. Each time I could easily hear air being pushed back to the tank. After the 4th prime, the truck started normally. I also want to say, I chose the K&N replacement filter kit and it works perfectly. In fact, the new gasket is 1.2mm taller/wider than the factory gasket. I checked it with calipers. I feel like the people who have said there's a leak problem, in the Amazon reviews, didn't install the gasket properly and I would guess they didn't seat it in the groove all the way and probably pinched it. I might be wrong about that and after I put a few days on the truck ; if I do develop a leak, I will update my comment. Thanks for the video 🤙

I can't wait to eventually swap the 3.7 engine for a 5.0 and keep the 3.7 sticker on it. Just got a manual v6 and I love it tbh. Gas is pretty good. At the end of the day you can have a Boss or a Cobra but 9/10 times we're both going the same 45mph - 70mph on our way to work if you live in a city 😂, and I save on gas.

Good video! You do realize that daylight savings time is in Summer, and not Winter. During Winter, it's Standard time that is killing you. You boys down in Texas are lucky, wearing short sleeved shirts in winter. Try coming up to Canada where we have salt & sand on the roads for 4 months and temperatures dipping down to -35C or -30F. That will curl your beard and put hair on your chest! I think I'll stick to lights without the fans. With all of the salt and debris on roads, I can see those getting clogged in no time. If anyone sees my comment would you recommend replacing the TRD cold air intake with this. The TRD looks identical to the stock one to me besides the logo. I've already upgraded to a 3" catback exhaust that sounds 10× better than the TRD. Just wondering if this CAI will enhance the engine sound vs what I have already. If anyones done it let me know...

I just installed mine 2 days ago and for some reason the cargo lights only worked the very first time I installed. Any idea why? Is yours doing the same? The cargo lights don’t come on when i open the door or anything. But the red brake lights do work properly

Be sure to cover the filter outlet connector and outlet port of the filter once disconnected. any dirt and debris that gets into it is going to the injection pump and injectors. I like to clean them off well before disconnecting then ziptie sandwich baggies over them.
