Totally stumbled on mine today having tears I didn’t know about the upgrade and installed a stock one.

Nice job. I'm still amazed Ford hasn't updated both this hose and the upper radiator hose, which needs an internal spring to keep it from collapsing.

Thanks for the video! Going through this now with my f350 and it’s super helpful.

This will be my second intercooler pipe. The first was under warranty, now this one is on me. I went with S&B. Both stock ones failed in the same place.

Hey great video! I just installed mine on a 19 f250. I had a small clearance on the front of the intercooler pipe (aluminum side) about the thickness of a quarter. Couldn’t tell on the video if this was normal or not? It did snap in though.

Did you notice any performance changes? Some people have mentioned slight changes.

Anything down stream that can get messed up by making the pipe the non failure point?
@kvboyd Жыл бұрын
Upper radiator hose is compressed because the reservoir cap is not working properly creating a negative vacuum when truck is off. Replace the cap and problem is fixed.

Did your check engine light take a while to turn off? Just had the same issue with my truck, installed new pipe and check engine light is still on. Definitely installed right, no leaks, building proper boost and fuel mileage back to normal. Thinking may have to replace the air charge temp sensor.

What was the fix??
@Bemer1210 ай бұрын
@@The1manchu Check engine light went off after about a day or so, everything’s been all good since. Did not have to change the sensor, I did take it out and cleaned it up but light stayed on for a little while longer.

When it calls for oiling the pieces, I didn’t have any oil on me when I replaced it. And I installed it as is. Will that cause it to fail ?
@ck35619 ай бұрын
I know you posted 7 months ago but did you have any issues? I installed mine today and honestly I used a little oil from inside the old pipe. The install was straightforward but it was a tight fit but it finally clicked on.
@blvckgoku9 ай бұрын
@@ck3561so far zero issues! It’s most likely fine now
@ck35619 ай бұрын
Thanks, honestly I just don’t want to pull the dam thing off again. Originally when installing I redid it twice just because I didn’t like how it felt clicking on. It sounds like everyone has the same issue. I just didn’t want to put oil all over it. The OEM didn’t have any oil dumped on it just to fit. 👍🏻

Just got told by the dealership my '19 with 84K needs a "turbo hose". $500+. I told them I'll take care of it. I assume they are referring to this hose. Find out soon enough.

Don’t buy the K&N cold charge pipe kit, it’s bs. They trying to save money by not making the little rubber elbow piece too short by 1/2” and the metal clamps are 1/2” too short as well. Fucking hell cmon K&N. I’ll give you $5 more dollars to not make this shit a struggle fest!!!
